OK with me. It is their naval standard iirc, and the US flies the stars and strips when our ships go to Japan.

That said how long is the US flag going to be "politically correct"?

Reality check pls - Swedish aid - military equipment and monetary - to Finland during the Winter War was substantial.

Hmmm. The lesson of that map is that the Finns, Swedes, and Norwegians should have a military alliance. IMO.

No Swedish-Norwegian alliance probable before WWII. 1905 was not too distant in 1939. Today the Norwegians are notoriously unreliable when it comes to joint-efforts in for example military industry - they always pull out to buy American.

Swedish-Finnish cooperation have a longer tradition...

Well.. Norway has been allied with the Anglos for quite awhile, and fought alongside.

Are you saying the Norwegians normally prefer doing business with them too?

Basic history of Norway:

- Early history.
- Never made it out of the Kalmar Union.
- Run by Denmark ("political union")
- Independence initiative following Danish defeat (Napoleonic Wars), 1813.
- Swedish invasion 1814 - forced into so called personal union with Sweden. Not happy!
- Finally independence 1905 (war with Sweden close, but avoided)
- Nazi German invasion 1940

In Sweden there is a saying when it comes to political security:

Norway will glance to the east (Sweden),
and state "No, we're not gonna' do it that way",
then look to the west (USA).

No offense but these days I'll immediately raise my hat to anyone who doesn't want to do it the Swedestan way.

Even North Korea is more or less not actively planning on eradicating their own populace to be replaced by Arab Muslims due to some form of white self-flagellation cultism.

Goes back longer than "these days". Try again.

... "more or less not actively planning" - now that has to be übersneaky level planning. Tell us more...! :)
