Matrix Easter Sale

#1 Post by AngryOldMan » Fri Apr 19, 2019 2:41 pm

http://www.matrixgames.com/news/2826/Ha ... everything!

Actually, I'm sorry I shouldn't use the term Easter. It might trigger a SJW.

What I meant was:

Matrix Non Religious Spring Holiday Sale.

Anyway, does anyone know if this can be used for a Steam based purchase? I pretty much only buy shit from there now so I don't lose it.
I only see instructions for ordering through Matrix.

I have not looked at the ad yet or read the fine print, but based on past recollection, the Matrix sale prices generally do NOT apply if purchased on the Steam site.

That said, with some (but not all) games that I have purchased from Matrix, if the game is also on Steam, you can purchase it at Matrix, then get a Steam Key (I think that was the term) which would then allow you to download the game on steam once you have purchased it at Matrix. IIRC, the product screen on Matrix will list whether a Steam key is available or not.
If it says nothing, then you might want to post a question in the Matrix Sale announcement thread asking if the game has a Steam Key before you make your purchase.

AOM, I found the following information over at Slitherine (Matrix’s sister company)

http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 58&t=72513

They have instructions and screenshots for how to do this.

I’ve used them in the past.

My anniversary coupon came at the same time and since it was 41% off I used it to pick up Armored Brigade and Tigers on the Hunt. Now to find some time to learn and play them.

Those Battlestar games are actually pretty cool, I can vouch for them.

Bit belatedly now. ;)
