Coming out Friday. May be one to watch.

Grand strategy down to controlling each individual ship or squadron of planes in battle.

Some preview vids have been popping up on YT:

I never played their original, so I have no idea what features were added in this sequel.

Good eye, Cole. Played the original and liked it a lot. Started a thread on it iirc. I'll get this one too eventually. 40 bean is too much right now w/ the reviews "mixed". Mostly I see ppl complaining that the UI is too clunky. They did a really good job w/ the first game so they'll get it ironed out I'm sure. Looking forward to this one, that 40 price tag is a little bit too heavy for me right now.

Of course, I don't have 40 bean anyway even if I did want to buy it.

I'm also in a sit & wait mode with this one.

It appeared to have some bugs yet to iron out along with those needed usability tweaks. I'll look into it once the post-release patching has run most of it's course. That tends to be my default position on most new games due to the extensive patching I always end up waiting to finish anyway.

I bought it. Too expensive. First one was good imo.

Got in a big CV battle 3 us cv vs 2 jap CV. I dunno if it's a plan - I just wanted to see something big happen win or lose.

All I saw were a bunch of planes circling around. Hundreds of crafts I never saw any ship get attacked or any planes engage. I saw 2 of my dds sinking (b/d their name was red). The fleets closed into almost gun range then the enemy CV group 'vanished'. I have absolutely no idea what happened  I'll admit I'm prolly bad w/ the controls, I guess I just don't understand how the game flows. Anyway it'll store in my libary until it's done. There's no way I can see of listing enemy ships KNOWN sunk or maybe sunk.. Like how WiTP works. Eventually you'll find out a enemy ship did sink, even if nobody saw her belly up.

Tried for a few hours to get into the game but end up confusimicated. If it's ever finished ppl will make better tutorials. There's a lot going on I'm not getting.

Judging by the vids I've watched of others, it doesn't seem to take long to sink an enemy vessel.

I suppose they did that for brevity purposes so each battle didn't take up a lot of time, especially since the whole war is still running while they are happening. However, it just makes the battles appear more RNG & flippant. :|
