Very good game. Probably the only downside is that strategy is a bit more channeled than the original X-Com. In X-Com, you could get away with a major blunder and still recover. Here, it's not as forgiving. You need to get your second and third bases built quickly, or world opinion will quickly turn against you. Not quite the rush on the original.

Good game but yes I concur, this game is extremely difficult - one of the hardest iterations of XCom I think.

I'm sure they're giving it away because they've been making a sequel.

Which means #2 will probably be coming up for release before long.

Heh! Must've missed the window for the free Xenonauts, but when I logged in there the site quickly informed me that most of the stuff on my wishlist was on insane clearance sale (65% to 80% off!).

Nine games for $28! :) Be fun to take System Shock 2 for a whirl 19 years later!

My GOG library is quite large.

They have big sales so often, I ended up buying a bunch of shit for $2 to $5 apiece. Still haven't even (re)played more than half of them. :lol:
