My computer just made the Win XP install a non option, the video card is messing up. It's old so a new one is a waste.

Instead I bought an Acer Aspire Desktop, 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7400, 8GB DDR4, 2TB HDD, Windows 10 Home, TC-780-AMZKi5

Still stuck with the 64bits and my older games problems, will keep trying the different work arounds.

You realize that only comes with the onboard Intel HD graphics, right?

Which should work okay for your olde RPGs. More recent 3D games not so much, though. Just FYI. But dropping in a dedicated GPU is simple these days, so no worries.
Oh, Lord.

My present system is Win 10, up until recently I've not been able to load some games like Civ5, need Net packages, tried letting the computer search and load, no luck. Tried loading myself, but they wanted me to delete stuff and with my shakie old age decided not to.

Last weekend there was a major Win10 upgrade, I tried Civ5 again, it searched and install the needed files and Civ5 is working fine.

:D

Good news then.

The Windows gods have smiled down upon you. ;-)

Yes, and so has the God NVIDIA; There has been a problem with the Neverwinter Nights game in that Gowns were not represented, put a gown on a NPC and all you see is disembodied head, hands, and feet, NVIDIA has fixed that in recent upgrades.
