My bottomline on the "Death or Dishonour" DLC: It´s the 1930´s, where minors HATE their neighbours and are prepared to do smth about it

I wonder what a game would be like with us each(ALL of us) playing minor countries (perhaps all in Eastern Europe)?

I think you'd be let down by the AI unfortunately.

An AI USA will just gibber helplessly on CONUS mostly. An AI Germany will collapse within months after invading the USSR. Etcetera...

Or ITA suffering 1.5 mill casualities taking Egypt while failing on the Balkans, GER struggling with late 1940 brit invasions of Belgium and Bremen. 1,5m dead means ITA AI changed the manpower laws to get more ppl killed AFAICT.

Anyway, an Eastern Europe scenario would need human players for the Reich and the USSR, who then would be able to snuff any Balkanese overlord in 10 mins game time, no matter what ;)

I bring myself and 2 others like last time.

One of those 2 others wants to be Turkey. (!). I dunno. We'll see how it goes.

I think UK/USSR/Germany need to be humans for sure. The rest we can be a bit more flexible on. If you play a Balkan wannabe you can always switch to the US if you get stepped on anyway.

I have one additional potential player (other than myself).

He was asking which DLC we are playing.

All the official ones.

And that's good, should be

Me
My mate Tim (he was the UK last time I think)
My mate Mike (He's the guy who wants to be Turkey...)
Scharf
Chijo
Chijo's mate

Even with Turkey we should be able have to most of the majors in play.

UK
USSR
Germany
Japan
USA
Turkey?

If Turkey goes fascist and we keep to otherwise historical alliances that might even be fair.

Unfortunately the guy I know who lives in Oregon (I think it is!) who usually plays the US, he of the 'Attack Venezuala' gambit, can't make it.

After playing US last time, I totally get attacking Venezuela early - that´s no gambit, it´s boredom

Chijo, seems Balkans minor is out, any other preference?

I have failed badly twice playing the Soviet Union.
I am open to failing badly playing another nation. ;-)

I am open to giving the the USA a try this time.

I don't remember how we set it up last time but what start date will we be using for Saturday?

1936 or 1939?
