Crusader Kings 2 is getting an expansion featuring playable muslim nations, and the extra events & options to go along with it.

IIRC, the release date is June or July.

JA BIA $10 limited time only.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/57740/

Gonna wait now until it's $5.

I got Galactic Civilizations 2 Ultimate instead. Great deal on that, only 5 bucks, but that deal is just good for 4 more hours.

I couldn't get into GalCiv2, or the original GalCiv. It's probably because the planetary systems were so simplified, along with some of the mechanics. Too basic for my tastes.

I did get some stuff on the Steam sale, though.. Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity for $5. Fallout New Vegas $5. Gratuitous space battles complete $10.

Well I bought JA:BiA and the DLC for 13 bucks. I don't have the patience of CatLover.

:D

Not so much patience as the knowledge that it will be months before I get around to giving it a shot. By then the Thanksgiving Sale will be upon us. I'm still thinking about it and may yet pull the trigger tonight. $5 is nothing, but I remember when it was something, and that makes me err on the side of cheap.

In the meantime I jumped on Just Cause 2 for $3.74 and Witcher 1 for $2.49. Guaranteeing I'll have even less likelihood of ever playing BIA. But BIA is still the one that intrigues. If the reviews weren't so negative I'd have grabbed it months ago.

I nabbed BIA. Also got Fallout New Vegas Ultimate. $20 for the pair. Probably the most I've ever spent in single Steam transaction.

I really enjoyed New Vegas on the 360 but it sure was buggy. Save often - which is what I hear about BIA as well.

Shit.

I was hoping it would be smooth sailing.

Well.. maybe since I have the PC version - it got some updates?

The worst part of jA IMHO is the militia. They can't defend anything so you have to constantly retake sectors until you get enough money to hire enough mercs to blanket the map. Apparently some don't have this issue, so maybe I'm missing something. I really like the plan and go mode so I keep playing.

Oh and the enemy accuracy issue is still annoying too. When a baddie drops you with an Uzi from 400 yards is a joke but you learn to work around that. That was a pain in the original too. Luckily the AI isn't too bright.
