'Firefly' is a great TV show that got axed after only 14 episodes.

However, there's a movie named 'Serenity' (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/) which ties the loose plot ends together and ends the show.

A mix between Western and SciFi and it surprisingly works. Deep developing characters, humour and action.
Firefly is the clas designation of a private interstellar cargo vessel named Serenity that is flown by a crew of ex soldiers, small criminals and a diverse assortment of permanent passengers who end up having to lend a hand in working the ship and getting everybody through various adventures. Adventures that come up large part because Serenity is actually making money by engaging in smuggling and heisting activity on the borders of the so far human-inhabitated universe. No aliens exist in the Firefly-universe which for me is a welcome break, but tons of human characters familiar from good ole Western movies. Actually, the border planets look much like the old West down to people's clothing. For ground-to-ground transport the usually poor settlers e.g. use horses.

Check it out.

I was a big fan of both the series and the movie. I was disappointed when the series was cancelled, but the movie somewhat made up for it to tie up those loose ends.

It is a cult I think, even with the little material they released.

Very good.

If you've never seen this and buy the DVD's, watch the series first then the movie.

Make sure you see the Movie "Serenity" it wraps up the series.

One of the great boners of television was canceling this series without giving it a chance.

There has been a history of great sci-fi shows getting axed early. Anyone remember Space:Above and Beyond?

Fuck you Fox Network, fuck you in your stupid retarded ass...

Colonel McQueen Vs Chiggy Von Richthofen ...
