Season 2 was released on Nov 1.

I have watched the first 2 episodes (and in the process of watching Ep 3).

Again, there are some reality twisters in this.

SPOILER ALERT:

Small type so as not to blow it for anyone.
The setting has moved to Venezuela, which in this is a shithole country with long food lines, shortages and a corrupt government.
Unless I got it wrong though, in this program, the corrupt president of the country is "right wing" and the woman running against him for president is a lefty.
I thought the reality though was the opposite of that. :?

I couldn't take the pro-Islam stance.

I didn't get a "pro moslem" vibe. In S1 the main villain was an Islamist that tried to weaponize ebola. The S2 thing is not about lefty vs righties in Venezuela. It's about totalitarians vs not totalitarians in Venezuela. These days it's hard to know whether words like "lefty" or "righty" or just "nucking futs" apply to people like Maduro. So I do not read any political "spin" into Jack Ryan Season 2.

In fact, it's reasonably entertaining. Goods guys vs sonsabitches. If there's any applied take away from fiction, or from reality, is that among people who crave political power, democratic, republican, socialist, ethnic nationalist, or whatever, there are few good guys and lots of sonsabitches.

That's why politically, as a environmentally concerned otherwise libertarian, I agree with Karl Rove's sentiment that a government should be kept as small as possible, spending wise.

Watched the first episode of this and couldn't control my desire to vomit. Muslim criminal shitheads being portrayed as heroic; fuck that shit.

Meanwhile, back in the land of "what is ACTUALLY in the show"...

If you're watching Season Two, one of the characters is a familiar face. That's Arnold Vosloo leading the Merc group. You saw him before in two of the Rachel Weise/Brandon Fraser "Mummy" flicks in the role of Imhotep/The Mummy. Vosloo does an excellent supporting actor job. Definitely deserves an Emmy nomination.

Based on S1, there is a clever attempt to assign a sympathetic purpose the the islamic lunacy...but a couple of racist Belgian cops does not pardon the death of innocents. At the end of S1 there is no moral doubt. I got the impression the screenwriter was actually sucking in islamic apologists for the big reveal of the moral bankruptcy of the whole thing.

I will let you know what I think about S2
