Glitch is an Australian SciFi/supernatural show that is available on Netflix: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4192782/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_1 and currently in its second season.

I a rural Australian town police Sgt. James Hayes is called to a disturbance at the cemetary. Several dead townspeople, among them his wife Kate, have risen. Trouble ensues for the good sergeant and the revenants because a mysterious force wants wants to put them back in the earth and a local pharmaceutical company plays a quite likely unsavory role in their resurrection. Also James' new and pregnant wife is not overly thrilled to see Kate back among the living.

Despite the by now not overly novel exposition I quite liked it. For once it's fresh and believable faces and not US incompetents like James Franco looking at you from the telly all the time. In that vein the acting is low key in a good way, the characters really come across as regular people caught up in a universe shattering situation. Furthermore, fittingly, the plot plays out without much in the way of special effects, car chases, explosions and titties but rather interpersonal drama and mystery. They also do that British thing where they have only few episodes but those packed with plot. S01 has only six eps and moves it along briskly.

I did not care for the little hat tips to political correctness and TV land tropes like the homosexual war hero or the local wealthy elite being rotten and borderline criminal, but those are comparatively few and do not manage to spoil the show.

Summary: solid recommendation, if SciFi and the supernatural are your thing.
