Coming this fall from CBS.

Muslims in space? USS Barack Hussein Obama? Gay Starfleet Academy Warriors? Ferengi Lives Matter? Phaser free zones? Dilithium Crystal tax credits? Trigger free holodecks?

The possibilities are endless.

Guaranteed to have women of all stripes (black, brown, gay) in command roles and beta males in supporting roles mixed in with the obligatory white alpha male types in the hawkish, warmongering, "phaser-'em-first-ask questions-later" role to push the white colonialist subtext. As a result of said desire to push gender roles and checking off all the virtue signaling checkboxes over actual story content, I'll give it two seasons max.

Sad to see if that is the direction they are taking the new series.
I was considering subscribing to the CBS All Access thing to see it.
Now I think I will wait to see the freebie pilot episode on CBS and then decide whether to subscribe to CBS All Access or not.

After watching the video ABradley posted, I might be more inclined to watch the Oreville spoof series. I need to at least do some more research of it...had not heard of it before this video.

Was hoping Axanar would actually get made. Since it may have actually avoided some of that overdose by being a war movie.

But the IP owners don't seem to want it getting done. :x

That was purely my extremely biased, unsubstantiated opinion (based on current trends and current world-think) which may or may not reflect the final content of the show. :)

You are more right than wrong, I follow Trek News pretty closely as a Trekker if not a Trekkie....
