Hoeks (Luv) was awesome.

Definitely pulled off the menacing 'bunny boiler' vibe well. Likey. :D

I am going to make a confession about the original Blade Runner, saw it when it first came out and didn't have a clue about Ford being a replicante ... figured he was plain old every day human. Saw it as a good movie about a human chasing non humans slaves who'd escaped from their hell and wanted to change their status.

Guess I was the only one.

So when it came out there was this sub plot and everybody was saying 'I knew that' ... I didn't say it or know it.

The original movie has been modified multiple times. Mostly for the better, but the changes in the ending were divisive.

The original which bombed at theaters had a bad noir-style Harrison Ford narrative over a lot of it. His emotionless droning was terrible. Ford probably sounded like he just wanted to get back to his trailer and smoke some more dope while waiting for the payday at the end, as he practically admitted to regarding some of his movie roles.

Fortunately later home movie edits removed a lot of his snorefest rambling and, therefore, it began gaining much better opinion as time went by.

The Director's Cut is the best IMHO. After all, it is his baby; makes sense if the edit which HE would have released had they allowed him would be the best.

You guys are scaring me.

Please tell me Deckard (Ford) in the original movie was a simply a human doing replicant hunting...wouldn't Batty (Hauer) have known?

In the meantime Rutgar Hauer is da man. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe ..."

Yes, very telling " ... you people ...", not 'us replicants'

Checked the Dick novel (summary), there was some checking of Ford's character in the novel, he checked out as human.

Agree 'Tears in the rain' is great.
