The wife and I marathoned the first season. Interesting story line about an ex-superhero who goes mainstream as a PI, a very strong PI. You may remember the main character as Breaking Bad Jessie Pinkman's girl friend. And the arch villain in the first season is a must see....no spoilers here.....
(and my apologies if this show was mentioned in previous posts).

Did I ever complain, here, about how often I started hearing that British guy say "Jess-EEEEE-Cuh!!" in his accent?

Dude must've said it 312 times during the series. It repeatedly ran in my head, like one of those annoying songs that get stuck on repeat in there sometimes. Almost needed to get it out.. with a bullet. :x

Not a bad series. Thought the dude should've been ended a few episodes earlier. Seemed to drag it out a little at the end.

The next Marvel "street level" series is Luke Cage (aka "Powerman" iirc) on the 30th. Lotsa good buzz from the NDA'd people who got to pre-view a few episodes.

But I'm looking forward to the Iron Fist series more, coming next, along with John Bernthal getting his own Punisher series next year(?). The Defenders is in the works, too.

They got lots more good Marvel stuff coming to Netflix.

I'm guessing you've watched some of their Daredevil stuff..?

Yup to the drag out comment, but made the final showdown worth every minute.

Current with The Flash and DareDevil. Looking forward to the next seasons respectively, as well as Luke Cage and Defenders. Jess-EEEEE-Cuh should be in both, particularly seeing as how Luke is her person of current interest ;)

Don't think she will appear in Luke Cage, but she will definitely be in The Defenders.

Horribly stupid girl power show. Apparently women set themselves free by becoming manlier than men as seen in every second TV show there is.

Agreed with Reinald. Marvel meets Third Wave Feminism.

And this is a problem why? It's a comic book character. Get over it.

It doesn't bother me much when it's some fictional superpowered craziness.

Although Reinald has a valid point about the medium being inundated with female characters tossing dudes around as if they're 300lb linemen swinging a grocery bag across the room. Super strength hero-femme? Okay, I can skip disbelief in that case. But some plain Jane buck-o-five girl punching and throwing numerous dudes twice her size, just because the story wants you to believe she's a badass, is often laughable. And surprisingly common in film.

I don't get how this is supposed to be an argument.(?) Can comic book characters not be loaded with ideology, stupid and tropes?

Yea, in Van Helsing e.g. she kicks a wife beating neighbor's ass even before she aquires superpowers. In a horribly choregraphed fight scene including levers that wouldn't even work if he was a srcawny preschool boy.
