The Walking Dead (TV 2010- and comic book series)

#1 Post by reinald » Mon Nov 28, 2011 9:14 am

No spoilers, pls.

But is it just me or is S02 a bit of a letdown? That farm situation is stretching way too long and everyone in fact knows they'll (have to?) hit the road again eventually so the story can progress. Are they stretching out the original comic book plot so they can have a 13 ep 2nd season and then a third one?

Comic book spoiler:

They are so off the rails when it comes to the comic book it's not even funny. The whole CDC thing didn't happen and Shane was dead before they even left that camp right outside of Atlanta. Carl kills him in order to save his dead. Shot right through the neck. Things don't really pick up until they leave the farm.

Is the comic worth downloading?

I recently got "Crossed" because it was written by Garth Ennis and I can't quite make up my mind about it - I sort of like it but I'm also disgusted by it. Anybody know if The Walking Dead is similar to Crossed?

They finally found Sophia. There's some good news. It don't suck nearly as much as it could. Compare to the silly ass Noah Wiley thing about heroic liberals fighting off aliens in Taxachutsess.

Nothing is spoiled. The new epsiode is the season finale, so you know they were going to find her. Sophia is really happy now, running and playing in the fields with all the other zombie apocolypse children.

I notice this on netflix. Maybe I should watch the first season if y'all think it's good. But I've watched other series before just b/c y'all said it was good and frankly I was let down. I think most of y'all have bad taste in entertainment.

It aint Buffy, but it's better than all the rest of the crap out there. It's got zombies and rednecks with guns. That's a good thing.

In the comic book sophia was never lost and never turned. There was also a set of twins kids with their group that play an important part. They are way off from the comic.
