Yes, a leftie TV series, but the ideology is not very well hidden, so it wouldn't be on the list.

Will 'Truth', the new movie starring Hollywood big name stars ( Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford) join the list of Top 25 Greatest Left-Wing Films?
The movie tells the story of Dan Rather and Martha Mapes and their investigation into George W. Bush's Texas National Guard service.

Rex Reed said ‘Truth’ Is One of the Greatest Journalism Movies Since ‘All the President’s Men’

Opening weekend grossed $76,646, so maybe not.

Your necromancy skills are absolutely unparalled, chijohn. You must have a memory like a Cray supercomputer, 4 years ago!

Truth is brand new.

The story is old

You can't judge a Lefty history-revision movie by its box office because most Lefties can't afford the tickets. You have to count all the views when people steal pirated copies and illegal downloads.

Sometimes you can.

They will often times have big budget and/or big name stars, but they flop at the box office.

Elysium: future 1%'ers in spacce. Matt Damon. Worldwide gross was only about 60% of production and promotion costs.

Promised Land: anti-fracking movie. Matt Damon. Worldwide gross $8.1 million, about half of the production costs alone.

Green Zone: Anti-Iraq (GWB knew no WMDs) movie. Matt Damon. Domestic gross $35,053,660 (worldide about $95 million), production costs $100 million.

Probably more examples already covered in this thread.

Alot of Matt Damon flops.....

I do have a fairly good memory, althought often times with things here I might not remember the specific thread name, just that a thread around the topic was here. Then it is a process of search and elimination to find the right thread.

I don't like thread clutter (having a half dozen threads on the same topic) so I will often go out of my way to resurect an old thread rather than find a new one. Also, it is sometimes fun to see some postings from people long gone and to see what people were saying years ago.

I'm willing to bet Mr. Damon is picking his films based on his political views.

It is so reproducible it might be a good strategy for producers to weed out potential flops......"Here, run this by Damon first. If he likes it shitcan the thing,"

Cheaper than running expensive focus groups.
