John Allen Chau had reportedly visited the prohibited North Sentinel Island in the Indian Ocean to preach Christianity to the tribe

A Darwin award accepted.

So it goes.

Missionaries have been dying for Christianity since the 11 apostles died for the word.

Well, too late to ask from the millions who died in the world wars. Perhaps not willing, all, but dead anyway. :(

This guy heard the mission call and decided to convert the natives. I doubt the he could speak the native lingo, can anyone. But when you are called you speak all the languages necessary.

The other thing was that the 'missionary' was trespassing in a no-go area.

And somehow I think that there will be no charges, only fines on those who transported idiot to the island.

But I respect those Sentinelese for their foreign policy, kill everyone who enters. That is why they survived so far.

I am certain they have enough gods, in case they need any.

Hokahey.

The guy was stupid IMHO, for going there..

They should leave his body where it’s at and make no further efforts which could result in contact with this tribe.

————-

Not only missionaries have died going places where others would not go.
How many explorers have died going to places others would not?

Faith, I guess it's just not engouh...

Quote:
A South African pastor, Alfred Ndlovu has died of malnutrition after going without food for 30 days when he tried to emulate Jesus Christ and fast for 40 days and 40 nights.

Buzz South Africa reports that the 44-year-old pastor left home on June 17 for a nearby bush to have prayers, just like Jesus did. Attempting to equal or break Jesus Christ record of fasting for 40 days, Mr Alfred Ndlovu died just a month despite having no history of illness. He was alone in the wilderness and his body was found by a stranger who then called the police. He was known by his family and community at large as a very spiritual person whose faith could move mountains and his death surprised everyone, even church members.

Why Are Christians Ganging Up on Missionary John Chau, Who Paid the Ultimate Price for Sharing the Gospel?

(John Chau, via Instagram)

On November 14, American missionary John Allen Chau paid local fisherman to take him to North Sentinel Island, located off the coast of northern India. Ignoring the law prohibiting outsiders from making contact with the Sentinelese, Chau wanted to share the gospel with the isolated tribe. Three days later, his death was reported by fishermen who saw the Sentinelese bury his body on the beach. Many in the press as well as many people on social media have blasted Chau for what they believe was an act of selfish stupidity. Even some Christians are criticizing Chau. Others, though, are hailing the young missionary as a martyr for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The body is still on the island. Policy of the islanders appears to be to drag the corpse around for a while and then dispose of it. Policy of everyone else is to stay off the island. Good riddance to the evangelical. The world needs a few billion fewer people running around insisting that they have the inside line on the Sky Fairy's plans.
