New Jersey. Who would have imagined that there would be corruption in New Jersey of all places!

PS: I miss the Sopranos show. ;-)

I'm sure there are many other metro areas with similar issues.

Do you guys know the story of "Daly vs. Clark" ? Montana.

And for a fact it wasn't the only such place but nevertheless interesting to see how already in the 19th century fat cats were not just owning a newspaper - they had crept their influence to *every* newspaper dividing the whole press among themselves and not just the press, the judges, electors, politicians and such too.

Clark was elected as a senator *despite* it was revealed that he had been bribing the electors. It didn't matter.

100+ years later people suddenly pretend that all of that corruption that took root back then somehow disappeared and vanished along the way as opposed to being the perfect explanation as to *why* media acts the way it does.

"Corruption" is as old as cell membranes. Once entities started hiding behind cell membranes, the basic conditions for corruption to flourish were established.

ADDIT: also . . . "proof" that Capitalism is the original state of nature . . . well maybe not THE original state. Those early squigglies were Commies I guess . . .

But you note: EVERYBODY after them (well 95% of them) were Capitalist pig dogs.
