The late, great Dave Allen sums up how I felt about being indoctrinated into the Catholic faith at a very young age...

Funny but doesn't ring true, at least not in my experience. This is more like it

I doubt that atheism is dying in Australia. ;)

I have my doubts that religion, any religion is increasing popularity in Ozzie.

There is one thing that really works in favor of religions. Most religions value family - and religious people tend to have more children than the newly discovered 'world citizens' that reject religion and association with their country. This new class of people, urban hedonist - they have at most one child if that at the age of 50 and divorce within 10 years after having one because they figure out that if they take turns in being the absent parent (the parent who the kid is staying with puts the kid in front of a gadget and tunes out, gives medication if necessary) while the other one can go on a fuckfest in Bali.

Fear Of Missing Out. It's an inferior survival strategy to just having a bunch of kids when you're in fertile age and trying to hold it all together even if you miss that year's Woodstock or whatever.

I think there's even a strong correlation with religious 'zeal' and the number of children you have with the extreme low end being hedonistic-nihilistic rejection of nation and family values.

Will delay replying to this as it's pay to view plus need time to collect facts.

You may ask 'Why not search now?', I did and the search engines are flooded/full of Ossie board's accusations, let the air clear.
