What land was stolen in the 18thC by Russia? Not being sarcastic.
From what I've read, Lithuania grabbed a whole bunch of Russian land after the collapse of Kievan Rus. Russia then took it back in the 16thC. Grand Duchy of Lithuania then involved Poland in its war with Moscovy, meaning that Poland was in some sense of the word an ally of a nation that stole Russian land in a war in which Russia was trying to get its land back.
On the balance, it looks like Russia was a victim of Catholic nations in the west far more often than Russia was the instigator.
As for communism, so what? The world loves Commies. The world loooves the Peoples' Republic of China. The leadership of the EU and the US can't fellate members of the Chinese politburo fast enough when it comes to trade.
A thing occurs to me. The USSR may have been about communism, but within that Russia has always been about Russia and the USSR first and foremost served Russia. Considering how often the west has invaded Russia, welll.....

Do you mean the Nazi Germany - USSR co-operation under the Molotov-Ribbentropp pact?
Yes. I don't see that the Germans had any legitimate beef but can see why the Russians would want to deal a bucketload of revenge. The Russians seem to have very long memories, and seem willing to wait as long as needed to deliver payback. Sucks to be on the receiving end of that but IMO revenge is a beautiful thing.
