Alea iacta est, now it is decided that I will lighten down my sin cargo a little by walking 780 km in 30 days. Day after of my 62th birthday early flight to Barcelona, then by train to Pamplona. And from Pamplona by bus to the starting point of the Camino Frances St Jean Pied de Port.
...

Though I hope to live long enough to see the Helsinki Tallinn tunnel.

I walk.

PS. Nice trolling so far.

Good luck with your trek. The jaunt over the Pyrenees looks to be a killer.

Poor Nero tries to start a relatively normal thread and he cannot help but immediately show his xenophibic ass. Ah well. Sounds like a fun trek!

Reminds me of that old Ozark joke.

When Grandpa was 59, the doctor told him he had a heart condition and he should start walking for his health. At age 60 he started walking five miles a day.

Now he's 97 and we have no idea where he is.

Jeez...1200 m vertical gain. Ouch. That is bad ass. How hot will it be? If you never post again we will know what happened.

I'm guessing there are places to stay and eat because otherwise I don't know how that pack size is enough.

By ra way..."muy camino" is not grammatically correct. "muy" is an adverb. ;)

"long walk" would be "caminata larga" or perhaps "paseo largo"

"long road" (or trail) would be "camino largo"

I am back. Walking 790 km in 31 days.

Not so bad for a 62 year old pastafart.

Bravo!

But couldn't you have just kept going? Eventually you'd have hit an ocean and you could've started swimming :P

15.8 miles a day....

Not bad I walk 4-7 miles a day....

of course Nero might ponder that distance is less than half my way home to Ohio from Montana.
