The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.

So, Mexico was a better ally of the United States for 77 weeks than all of continental Europe has been for 77 years.

'Our father, which art in heaven..' "May he fucking stay there." - Al Swearengen, Deadwood

While this may not be "military" per se (more economics) it certainly has indirect implications on Nazi Germany's war time economy.

The Vampire Economy

A video on the subject from Tik:

You can read the book yourself, either paying Amazon $2.99 for it here:

https://www.amazon.com/Vampire-Economy- ... B0052YQ1CK

OR you can do a little of your own vampiric activity by getting a free copy of the book here (it's both in pdf and epub versions):
https://mises.org/library/vampire-economy

I've watched the video.
I've downloaded the book but have not read it yet.

An "economy that is dominated by war needs" is not equivalent to being at "100% war time economy."

Germany never reached the latter, not least because of their moronic mishandling of personnel and attempts to use slave labor in place of paid or even skilled labor.

The algorithm recommended this for me:

You can find the rest here. And Beevor's other books Stalingrad, D-Day, The Second World War and The Battle for Spain.
