Uggh. That's bad. They can't even use the word "krieg".

Two beers a day is not all that much but what if an attack came in right when you finished your second beer?

It might make up for the lack of body armor.

The Brit's got their rum ration right before the Somme kicked off.

Seems the enlightened are more upset about the beer than anything else. That's the only thing the Bundeswehr got right. Fuck sacred Muslim taboos. Anybody serving in some third world shithole has a right to a beer if he wants one, and the stinking savages can go pound sand.

just imagine the other extreme: an extremely enthusiastic Bundeswehr...slim, tall, blue-eyed guys enjoying killing 20-something Taliban types by the dozen. I'd like it, but that's just me. I suspect though the Nazi comparisons wud be flowing like rain on this board :P

Yeah, they probably have to get a signed release before they can shoot them.

Concerning the word krieg about Afghanistan, the French have difficulties to name it a war too, at least officially. If I remember well, the American authorities had difficulties to call the events in Iraq a civil war. And in France the Algeria War became a war only recently; during a long period it was a “police operation”.

No one's going to call him a Nazi if he's shooting at terrorists and enemy combatants. Now if he starts picking off Jews (like there are any over there) or executing civilians or stealing artwork he might be in for some comparisons....

No one except liberals. Remember, some asswipe getting the "panty torture" at Abu Graib was "just like" Dachau.

The War in Iraq was not called a "Civil War" because it wasn't a civil war. The term has a specific meaning.

It might turn into a civil war when we leave but that remains to be seen.
