Vindman is not first up because he was born in Ukraine and definitely gives off an anti-Trump vibe.

Taylor is first up because he has that kindly, sagacious professor vibe going on. Never mind he had to read about the whole thing in the newspaper.

We ALREADY HAVE the fucking transcript but that doesn't matter. It's all theater for Schiff. The Republicans are bringing in the A-team. you can rest assured someone will ask Taylor how he found out. When he says he read it in the newspaper there may be some giggling.

Firm Hired by Ukraine’s Burisma Tried to Use Hunter Biden as Leverage, Documents Show

Blue Star mentioned him to get State Department meetings and burnish image, emails indicate

WASHINGTON--A consulting firm hired by Burisma Group mentioned that former U.S. Vice President Joe Bide'’s son served on the Ukrainian gas company's board so the firm could leverage a meeting with the State Department, according to documents and a former U.S. official.

The documents--email exchanges between State Department staff members made public this week--show that the consulting firm, Washington-based Blue Star Strategies, used Hunter Biden's name in a request for a State Department meeting and then mentioned him again during the meeting as part of an effort to improve Burisma's image in Washington.

Mr. Biden was appointed to the Burisma board in 2014, when the company and its owner faced allegations of corruption, and he remained there until April of this year.

The rest of the article is behind the WSJ's paywall.

It's totally unreasonable though to expect the Department of Justice to investigate something like this.

Little desperate, are we?

Perhaps you should read about Burisma. And the corruption. ;)

I was able to read the entire WSJ article, Chijohn,so it's available now. Or mebbe you'd read more than your quota of WSJ articles?

Anyhow, it's pretty clear that H. Biden may have been hired to gain influence with J. Biden. That'd be the second foreign firm at least to do that, HB had to recently resign from a Chinese state owned firm's board when that came up as an issue for J.Biden's campaign.

Truth is, all you really need to do is follow the money. If a US elected official has sons or daughters or spouses making alot of money on the basis of few actual accomplishments, you can but it's about buying favorable policies. Much cheaper to bribe a sitting Vice President than to have to convince all of Congress to vote for something you want done.

I do go through the "free" monthly quota of article pretty quickly.
