I like the GOP's chances to gain 1 to 3 seats. I've heard predictions of as many as 5 seats but I'll be a bit conservative.

If the Dems don't take the House there will be a wailing sound audible on any habitable planets in the Alpha Centauri system.

On what basis would one make such a prediction?

I mean . . . if I just go by how stupidly desperate leftalitarian voices seem to be these days IN GENERAL, I'd vote "GOP Sweep." But I am guessing a lot of these races are very low chance simply because the Democrats have been in control for so long?

For example, the California Governor race. The candidate makes a hopefully argument on Fox but is it really possible for any Republican to win much of anything in California with Hollywood, and Silicon Valley and lots of other Leftalitarian interest groups who can pay top dollar for fake votes or to otherwise tamper with things?

Technically Schwarzenegger was a Republican. He was a elected because of widespread anger at the car registration tax increase rammed through by "Grey-out" Davis.

It would indeed be a miracle for the current Republican Gubernatorial candidate to win in Calif. For DiFi's seat THERE IS NO REPUBLICAN IN THE RACE because two Dems got 1st AND 2nd place in the primary.

would be nice just to see what Nero's reaction would be:

-----Gerrymandering!
-----Putin collusion!
-----GOP voter suppression (even though some are predicting very high turnouts for an off year election)

Going 1-3 seats. No way will I underestimate the stupidity of the American Voter. I mean these are the very same voters that elected Bamster not once but twice.
