I have not, but I will look at it !

I can see it would have some value for pistol ... and for short distance rifle style shooting (standing unsupported) ... but for precision practice, the "size" of the targets might not be small enough. We shoot at 1/2 inch dots at 100yds outside ... at 10 yds the equivalent would be 0.05 inches 1/20th of a inch. Will have to read up to see how narrow this laser system can dial down to.

Yeah, targets too big for precision training, but they do have modules that work for 5.56 and .308 ... so standing unsupported type training with rifles is possible

I have seen several "expert" videos now touting the value of dry fire practicing, particularly for conceal carry.

there are many benefits to "dry fire" ... particularly for precision rifle :D

...

There are benefits to dry fire for all types of shooting, but the exact form of practice is different to derive the different benefits. For precision, we are mostly practicing "neutral position" ... with dots .. just like we shoot dot drills.

But at a high level ... it is about muscle memory ... in all cases.

There's a self defense series on the outdoor channel called The Best Defense.... I'd recommend it if you get that channel.... It goes into details and scenarios that most youtube type videos only touch on.... using knives against guns.... all that cool kind of stuff... These are just preview videos but you'll get the idea...

Was definitely considering it for regular use with a pistol. A few advantages to it, if the rig is good enough quality I imagine.

The iTarget Pro website explains it all pretty well, such as:

Quote:

The Laser Bullets

The Laser Bullets are designed without a rim, so they are not ejected by the firearm.
When you are done practicing, you can remove the Laser Bullet by pushing it out with a pencil.
They function like snap caps and are harmless to the weapon.
The hardened rubber back absorbs the impact from the firing pin.

The Laser Bullets are available in the following calibers:
(9mm) (.45 ACP) (40 S&W) (38 Special) (.380 ACP) (223/5.56) and (.357 sig)

The iTarget Pro Apps
-BULLSEYE -

You shoot at a standard scoring Target. The App gives you instant feedback, showing you precisely where your shots are hitting. You can track your progress by saving your target image to your phone, or share it with your friends.
