Yeah maybe by this time next year I can be "proficient!"

Holy sheeit! No WONDER it always felt more natural to fire a rifle with my left eye! I'm right-handed but left-eye dominant!

Finally got my spare magazines so going to the range won't be quite so tedious. Three 11 cartridge mags, and two 16. 16s are strictly for range use.

I used a sharpy and labeled my original "ANT.11.1" and had intended to number them that way, but now I see the ink is just completely rubbed off of the stainless steel. I suppose they make pens for marking on stainless steel?

Stainless steel is a pretty smooth surface ... paint, ink etc. like rough surfaces, might need to rough up the area you want to ink ...

I haven't "sanded" on stainless steel yet ... might need to google up on it ..

Some dremel tool bit will probably get the job done, but might need something stiffer than a wood sanding bit.

Another option might be to first spray on some MATT paint onto a retangle you mask off with painters tape and then write on that painted area. Just not sure how well the paint will stay on unroughed up stainless steel. But the matt paint adds a rough surface and should hold the ink.

A silver sharpie marker will last a long time on the butt plate plastic...

Any of you ever try out some of the laser target/ammo stuff for dry-fire practice?

Such as those with smartphone link capability for quick ref:
