A lady knocked on my door to ask the same question I asked my other neighbor. She wanted to know if I'd lost water pressure. I couldn't see who was there out my window, cracked the door, could hear a woman's voice: "please step back from my door, maam". I didn't mean to be unseemly at all I just couldn't see her. I wasn't armed although I usually am. Ths time I didn't even have a knife. I reckoned someone might come over and ask why the water isn't flowing. I was very polite to her. I think when I told her to step back it scared her. I didn't mean to do that. This is FL, you knock on someone's door not expecting company - stand way back from the door. She's foreign it seems like she'd know better...
Anyway. I put my hands up in surrender, told her she's ok and the water will be back on soon. gesh.
Normally I open the door to an unexpected guest w/ a gun in the person's face just to be sure. I'm mellowing in my old age. Perhaps getting careless. A guy could have been hiding next to her and ambushed me. I need to tighten up my security
