Wow...quite a beautiful woman. Of course, I'm not supposed to notice that.

Her big deal is eliminating ICE...not simply changing policy..ELIMINATING ICE. In other words...ZERO border security. Open borders. It's Queens. She probably got 50,000 illegal aliens to vote for her.

Not a SINGLE Democrat voted to repeal Obamacare. Not a SINGLE Democrat voted for the tax cut. Not a SINGLE Democrat voted for Gorsuch. She is replacing a 20 year Democrat with seniority on committees. What she has done is replace a Democrat in a safe district with a younger, better looking Democrat. I guess it makes liberal women feel better to throw a man out but it does nothing to stop Trump.

This is good news for the progressives, but it's taking the Dem party further left and that ain't where the American voters are.

I would say under normal circumstances this would open up an opportunity for a Republican to win the seat; but this is the New York 14th congressional district. It has voted Democratic in presidential races going back to at least 1992. The 14th District has voted for the Dem by in every House race since at least 1996, with the Dem capturing at least 70% of the votes case in every race. The last Republican to hold this seat was Susan Molinari whose term ended Jan. 1993. The seat iies in Queens and The Bronx in NY City and according to Wikipedia is made up of:
Ethnicity
18.41% White
11.39% Black
16.24% Asian
49.80% Hispanic
0.45% Native American
3.71% other

In the future, probably nearer than I hope, the folks receiving the cargo are going to outnumber the folks producing the cargo, and that will be the end of this great country. I can picture a point in the future where socialists, running as Democrats, have turned this country into another Venezuela. Maybe I'm in just too much of a pessimistic mood today but I right now I can't my grandkids living in the great country that I grew up in.

She's a member of the "Democratic Socialists" organization.

The one which publicly harassed, and then stalked home and harassed, the DHS chief.

The same org which is calling for the destruction of ICE (Immigration Enforcement). Which this elected chick is likewise pushing for.

Pretty much another No Borders Soros-type group. I wouldn't be surprised if that old Nazi collaborator were funding them, just like so many other similar ones.

The metropolitan neo-commies are obviously taking over the Left. I've been loathe to say it, but if that trend continues I fear these Venezuela-wannabes will eventually force widespread physical confrontation, and an ensuing civil war, if they keep trying to eliminate our borders and our essential Constitutional rights with their emotionally driven activism (supported by their fellow media activists' fanning of it).

The Left's radicalization, instead of slowing down due to recent defeats, has continually been accelerating even further to the extreme. Like they had already driven over the hysterical extremist cliff and are now reaching freefall.

Sometime ago, don't know if I posted it or not, I felt that the 2018 elections would result in the creation of a third party. Now we see which party it will be...

If the Dems take another beating like they did in 2016, the Democratic Party is going to split. No way around it if they want to survive. They are going to have to purge the wackos and move to a more centrist policy or be cast into the night for a long time to come. My bet is, they split.

We made it through the Florida recount in 2000. Tensions were pretty high then. I can't see it getting so bad that armed conflict would arise.

The much greater risk is political violence directed against political figures on ideological grounds. With the attack on the softball team we are already there. Elaine Chao, wife of Mitch McConnell was mobbed in her own driveway recently.

That doesn't even make any sense. What kind of brain disorder do you have to have to see McConnell as a Trump ally?

Also, does anyone remember a Press Secretary needing Secret Service protection? That is a bad sign.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Promise of the Bronx

What her victory over Joseph Crowley in this week’s Democratic congressional primary portends
By Paul Berman

My big regret regarding Joseph Crowley, the defeated Democrat of the 14th District, Queens and the Bronx, has to do with his accent. Why do people around the country like Donald Trump, after all? Could it be the touch of Queens in his speaking voice? Is that what America wants? In that case, I have always figured that Joe Crowley might be the answer—same accent, except stronger, and with civilized politics. But then, if I am touting Crowley for his personal charm, I am happy to acknowledge a still greater charm in his giant-slayer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—not the same accent, but an equally New York mix of English and Spanish, combined with Medicare for all and a spirit of rebellion.

Ocasio-Cortez’s attacks on Crowley during the campaign were unfair, of course. His New York working-class credentials could not be better. ...

Tablet is liberal, so the opinion is slanted left. Very slanted.

No amount of righteous anger or Puerto Rican accent or youth or even beauty can overcome her pro-Palestinian views and kooky communism-light political philosophy. She couldn't get the rest of New York to voter for her in state-wide office.

Maybe a city government position. I don't think the author gets it. Trump didn't win because of his accent. Sure, he is loved by blue-collar voters but he does that with brashness and threats of protectionism and the "America-first" thing which seems completely genuine to me. He is all about capitalism and low taxes and he certainly can't be described as pro-Palestinian. The only thing he has in common with this chick is New York.

Well known Democrat supporter and fundraiser/campaign contributor suggests that a nuclear war would be one way to get Trump out of office.

Quote:
I remember 2006. What happened is that George W. Bush, he put us in two disastrous wars and we were headed toward the biggest financial disaster since the Great Depression. So if the answer is that we need those three things to happen for a course correction, I’d prefer to move a little quicker. How about that? But I take your point. Maybe we can have, like, a nuclear war and then we get a real course correction.

https://hotair.com/archives/2018/06/29/ ... rid-trump/

How crazy is that????

There is speculation that they man that said this is actually considering a run for office.
