53 miles over very rugged steep terrain covered with round bowling ball sized granite cobbles and dense manzanita, done in about 70 hours.

790 km in 31 days.

Many days over 30km. And there was quite stiff vertical occasionally.

But then I am not that old, only 62.

Really? You look 90, Nero.

Maybe you should've stayed out of the sun more often.

I was just playing with HDR filter with that selfie.

But then never apply HDR on women over 40 if you want to stay alive. ;)

PS. auto -rep to me, this thread is not about me.
PPS. But 85.2 km in 73 hours, 28.4 km a day is not so bad at all. Multiply it by ten and then we are talking. ;)

53 miles in 70 hrs with a backpack (presumably) is pretty damn good, especially with elevation change.

The real question why?

Archaeological survey in a national forest. They're fixing to probably chain vegetation and needed to know where not to use heavy equipment. The veg removal is to reduce fire risk to communities/private landowners who've built close to the forest boundary.
