Douchebag hat-thief arrested:

Police found Jimenez in Universal City, Tex., just outside San Antonio, and arrested him Thursday evening.

Charges not specified. Presumedly, assault of some kind, and some kind of theft/larceny.

Jimenez then walked away, hollering an expletive and a racist word.

Wonder if a Federal "Hate Crime" charge will follow? (No, I don't wonder, I know it will not.)

Also, Douche is no longer employed:

Quote:
Jimenez has since been fired from his job as a part-time employee at Rumble, a local bar, the San Antonio Express-News reported. The Washington Post was unable to reach Rumble on Friday.

CNN's only coverage is to state that the video has "gone viral."

Its all a bit surreal isn't it.

Yes, but the Whataburger incident is not the first example that we have seen with people taking issue of others wearing MAGA hats.
And those incidents were BEFORE Mad Maxine urged people to 'push back'.

http://www.cnn.com/2018/07/08/politics/mitch-mcconnell-louisville-protest/index.html

CNN prints more triumphalist bs in support of political violence.

What's the over-under on how long it takes a bunch of kooky reactionaries to stalk Maxine Waters out of a restaurant?

Wonder if that will be celebrated too?

But the democratic socialists of Louisville told the Post that although three members were in the crowd, the organization was not associated with the man who shouted about knowing where the senator lived.

"This person is not a DSA member, nor do we know who he is or what he meant by that statement," the chapter wrote in an email to the Post. "We believe it is a reference to peacefully protesting in front of McConnell's house, which is a regular occurrence in Louisville. However, we cannot speak more to the comment because it did not come from our organization or our members."

They are trying to pre-emptively set up plausible deniability for if/when someone shoots up or attacks a Congressman/Administration member/Trump supporter.

Were it to happen to Maxine there would be an outcry claiming that racists were stalking her.
The Congressional Black Caucus would be up in arms.
BLM would be calling for 'civil' disobedience.
The media would be "aghast" at such an incident and suddenly call for calm and civility.

The problem with protesting at Maxine's home is which of the multi-million dollar homes do you go to?

That is what passes for mainstream/acceptable journalism today. :(

Edit/PS:
That piece above may be 'fake" due to the future date in it, but the sentiment is clearly there---you just need to look around.

Regarding the guy arrested for assault (stealing hat, throwing drink in kid's face), I'd expect it wouldn't be quite as big a deal if the person he targeted was an adult.

I read something about the kid being ~16 years old, i.e. a minor. Dunno how the law treats it in the great state of Texas, but I suspect it's similar to most. In that an adult who accosts a child gets charged with a more serious offense. 'Assaulting A Minor' iirc.

But the minor is imply a racist in the making.........so it's ok to accost him.....at least that is what some would have you believe.

Consider this...in 2018 America, it is safer to wear a Red Sox hat in the Bronx than it is to wear a silly reddish hat with some letters on it.

Mao shirt? Ho Chi Minh? Che Guevarra? Man...you are stylin'. "Make America Great Again" shirt? We'll fucking kill you, man!

I'd wager you would be safer wearing an OBL shirt with "Allahu Ackbar!" on it to the Ground Zero Memorial than you would a Trump hat.
