... Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA – Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday that inclusion of new Iranian and non-Iranian people and institutes to the list of illegitimate sanctions by the US under the excuse of missile tests is inconsistent with the country’s commitments and contradictory to the spirit and text of UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
Foreign ministry slams US new sanctions against Iran
The statement further noted that development of missile capabilities which are designed solely for defensive purposes and carrying conventional weapons is the Iranian nation’s right and any interference in the field runs against international regulations and is not within any country or institute’s authority.

Islamic Republic of Iran will appropriately counter any measure threatening the nation’s interests, as it has suspended issuance of visas for the Americans in a tit-for-tat move against the US travel ban for the Iranians.

The ministry also stressed that the Islamic Republic would not allow the ominous realization of the dangerous plots and delusions of the Zionist warmongers and their supporters.

'Retaliating the US inclusion of the Iranian people and companies to the list of sanctions, Iran will exert legal restrictions against the American individuals and companies which have a role in aiding extremist and terrorist groups or contribute to the suppression and murder of the defenseless people in the region. Their names will be announced subsequently,' said the statement.

Iran’s security is not open to any compromise or negotiations and the US miscalculated moves will never stop Iran from pursuing its principled policy of safeguarding peace, stability and countering terrorism and extremism, the statement concluded.

The statement came after the US Treasury Department said in a statement on Friday that Washington has imposed sanctions on 13 individuals and 12 entities as part of bids to ratchet up pressure on Iran.

The move against Iran is the first by the US government since President Donald Trump took office on January 20

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Friday that unfounded claims by the Saudi Arabian foreign minister originated from heavy and repeated defeats of his country in Yemen.
S. Arabian FM's empty rhetoric rooted in heavy defeat in Yemen: Spokesman
According to the ministry’s Center for Public and Media Diplomacy, Qasemi dismissed the repeated claims by Adel al-Jubeir about Iran’s military aid to Yemeni combatants, saying that these assertions are rooted in his confusion as a result of heavy and repeated failures of the Saudi-led military coalition operation against the impoverished country.

Putting blames on others by Saudi Arabia will never change the existing realities and Yemeni nation need no help from foreign countries, he said.

The Saudi paranoid rulers should stand accountable against the world for their anti-human crimes in Yemen in the past two years and leveling accusations will never reduce their responsibilities for committing crimes in Yemen, Qasemi said.

Iran as a powerful country in the region with a constructive role in fighting terrorism has no need for meddling in other Muslim countries’ affairs. Mr Jubeir and other Saudi rulers are recommended to change their repetitive and futile approaches, Qasemi said.

Looks as if Maobama's love affair and monetary support of Iran is very much over.

That is quite a list and must have required thousands of hours (more likely years) of analysis and intelligence-gathering. Trump has been Prezzy for 13 days.....hmmmm.

DING DING DING! <light goes on> Do you realize this means the US intelligence apparatus has long ago identified the foreign suppliers for the Iranian ballistic missile program (the goal of which is to achieve the capability of delivering a nuke on Israel or the Gulf State or regional US bases) but somebody ordered them to stand down?

Who would do a stupid fucking thing like that?

Rag on Turban ... sounds like a good thing ...

Quote:
... Hariri had said there was a plot to kill him, and accused Hezbollah and its Iranian backers of sowing strife in the Arab world. Okab Sakr, an MP with Hariri’s Future Movement, denied the decision had been imposed on Hariri.

Speaking in a televised address, Nasrallah said: “The resignation was a Saudi decision dictated to Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri and was forced on him.”

Sunni Muslim Saudi Arabia, a political ally of Hariri, is locked in a bitter tussle for power across the Middle East with Shi‘ite Iran and its allies, including Hezbollah.

Nasrallah said he would not comment on accusations leveled against Hezbollah by Hariri, describing his resignation announcement as a Saudi statement.

Hariri’s resignation toppled a coalition government that included Hezbollah, thrusting Lebanon back into the frontline of the Saudi-Iranian regional rivalry and risking an open-ended political crisis and sectarian tensions in Lebanon.

The government was formed late last year in a political deal that ended years of deadlock, and last month it produced Lebanon’s first budget since 2005.

Nasrallah said he had thought things were going well and had not wanted Hariri to quit. He urged Lebanese citizens not to hold protests in response to the resignation, saying “this will not lead to any result” ...

I wonder if this is a Shitite mosque. I don't think there are many Shitites in Egypt...a few less now. At least 253 less. Muslim v muslim...a sporting tradition going back 13 centuries. A recent Sunni jihadi attack in Sinai killed several dozen anti-terror police including commanders. Very serious jihadi movement in the Sinai.

I'm not sure that the mosque is either Sunni or Shitite.
It is a Sufi mosque.

Correcction:
Actually I guess that it is both:

Quote:
Existing in both Sunni and Shia Islam, Sufism is not a distinct sect,[54] as is sometimes erroneously assumed,[54] but a method of approaching or a way of understanding the religion,[54] which strives to take the regular practice of the religion to the "supererogatory level"[54] through simultaneously "fulfilling ... [the obligatory] religious duties"[5] and finding a "way and a means of striking a root through the 'narrow gate' in the depth of the soul out into the domain of the pure arid unimprisonable Spirit[disambiguation needed] which itself opens out on to the Divinity."[2]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sufism#As ... discipline

How is that for some clarity.
