B) I wonder if the university that this "professor" works it will bother looking into it?
Latest intel is saying that he is a college instructor rather than a professor. I'm not really familiar with the US University system so I don't really know the difference.
I am not the expert either, but it might mean that he is merely a "teaching assistant" ( a "TA) and not a Professor. IIRC, TA's are typically grad students who assist professors with their classes, conduct some study sessions and question hours, and might help with grading tests and term papers. If he is a TA then he would/should have no sort of tenure protections.
