Any IDIOT who thinks the Mueller team did not do a 10 year financial colonoscopy on Trump is a FUCKING IDIOT!

I sincerely hope nobody here believes such a thing because we seem to have a high level of discussion here on most days.

The truth about this will come out. Manafort and Cohen cases prove just nothing. OTOH Trump is doing everything possible to prevent the Congress to get his tax data.

We will see soon. ;)

Are you referring to GOP now?

But it is actually true that the Cult of Trump has reduced the GOP to a baby elephant.

Your incessant prattling needed a theme song which captured the incisive seriousness.

Then you have the "Steele dossier". As EU might put it, you would have to be a "lizard from Sirius" who just arrived in a salmonella infested spaceship to not know the whole thing was a manufactured political attack document. The FBI concluded immediately that 80% was complete fabrication and the other 20% was "unverifiable" and they were being polite to Steele because he fucking worked for them.

All of those moronic accusations have been reduced to subatomic plasma. Hell, it's all just Quarks and Neutrinos at this point. Even some of the Neutrinos are sub-Neutrinos now.

So, given the proven political origin of the Steele accusations what kind of FUCKING IDIOT now latches on to childish conspiracy theories from Soros-funded websites that were likely planted by Fusion or some other group of political whores 2 1/2 years ago and where bought and paid for by Hildabeast or the DNC.

Face it. The sea cow you supported for resident LOST because she was lying, shape-shifting, entitled Queen-in-waiting, Wall Street whore of a candidate who had to be propped up by her security detail at any temperature over 73 F

Trump has the right to challenge Congress obtaining his tax records.

Congress’ right to request income tax returns is under their oversight of how the IRS is doing its job, and for them then to decide whether any changes are needed to the income tax laws.
Their oversight might also include to see if whether their had been any improper influence attempted by Trump against the IRS regarding his own personal/business income tax returns.

Since Trump has been president only since Jan. 2017, he could would not have had an opportunity to influence the IRS before he took office.

Therefore, there is no justification for Congress to request Trump’s income tax returns filed prior to him taking office. If the IRS was doing anything improper before Jan 2017, it would have occurred under the prior Administration.

There are several valid reasons for Trump to not release his tax returns:

1) It could harm his businesses vis a vis competitors
2) It might reduce future borrowing leverage

--and--

3) An army of Assholes on the Left, anarchists, commies, socialists and everyone at the DNC would pick them apart and try to gain political advantage just like they did with The Mormon. He probably has capital loss carryovers which people that punched a clock at a watch factory for 40 years are too FUCKING STUPID to understand.

I believe the last time Congress requested someone's income tax returns was a a bipartisan decision in 1974 to request Richard Nixon's returns (and again, that was a BIPARTISAN) request.

A request that is not bipartisan (which I believe the request for Trump's returns wa) is on its face a partisan effort, more for political purposes and not something related to Congressional oversight.

There is no need, by the law to have a bi-partisan request for someone's tax data. And the legislative motive could be like preparing a law that requires every presidential candidate to publish their tax data for a certain number of years, say ten. ;)

And why didn't you think of that prior to 2016?

Oh, the Manafort case proves something.

Those with Clinton connections get de facto immunity from prosecution.

Manafort charged with illegal financial dickery overseas while his accomplice, a Podesta, is walking free as a bird. ;)
