I say "Well 10 and I am dead, 9 and you cut my leg off ... 8 and you cut my arm off ... etc. " and I usually get down to around 5-6 if I broke a bone ....

But yes, leg below the knee would be at least an 8.5 ... and he did say it "pinged" ... :)

Now as to the lighting strike ... I assume for me that would be a 10 ... DRT ...

Well then, I give the US 10.

No wait, in the good country index the US is number 40.

But you kick ass. ;)

Trying to find you a place to go where you will still have oxygen, and be on land, but be as far as possible from ooosah ... what about Heard Island ?? 11,333 miles from Topeka (Kansas) ... 372 square miles (about a quarter the size of my county) ... nice and cozy ... and fairly cool as well, so you will feel "at home" ...

They've even got a MOUNTAIN for you there !!

What do you think ? Is that the place for you !!?? :)

You'd be up under the auspices of Australia ... that might not be too bad ... they hate guns too, just like you ... so you might be able to have a GUN FREE ZONE there on Heard Island !!??

Wait a minute. The US is 50th on science and technology. What a load of 3 day road kill.

50th...I guess no one told the Nobel Prize committee that the US is a bunch of science and technology idiots.

North central brome field today

This is the best these fields have looked in the 8 years we've been out here.

And here's the main pasture where the 29 head are. This is a "heaven" for them The pond is overflowing ... the grass is zooming for the sky ... and the funny humans still bring them treats.

Oh, and in this last pic, if you know what you are looking at, you can see into some of the land we are trying to buy. The "yellower" land above and to the left of where the cattle are visible. They didn't burn this year, so that still dead grass from last year that the new growth is trying to over take. We burned, so we got rid of the dead grass and then it rained and the new growth took off so all our fields are green. And we fertilized the brome fields as well.

It has been one of the most beautiful springs I can remember down here in Dixie. Rain periodically, not too hot, bugs are just barely starting to show up. Green and lush, lots of birds. We've seen the urban coyotes passing along the creek twice now this spring. Climate change is pretty awesome these days.

Weather not so awesome for us today. We are in the Severe Risk for severe weather today. First time for the country this year and first time in 2 years. Last time for this area was 10 years ago and that resulted in the tornado in Moore, OK. Of course if they predict it, it won't come most of the time but still keeping an eye skyward today.

They are getting better at prediction big time. Moore is the center stripe of tornado alley
