Libraries in Sweden do not carry all books that exist. Some are replaced by new stuff. Some libraries are more dedicated to certain fields (military, economic, medicine etc). Some books are considered to be crap and are not put on the shelves at all. Online services however have more titles to choose from, and you can find most stuff there, if you are willing to pay that is.

Two links to two common book sites in Sweden. I assume this is his book, about 300 sek, which is a resonbable price:

All that said, Swedes will eventually really, I mean, really, learn what results from considering free entry and upkeep in Sweden as 'a basic human right'.

Maybe we should update the UN human rights charter.

You know who else made Sweden's blacklist?

Tim Pool

Can't have the journalists exercising freedom of the press, now can we....

Odd though. Wikipedia had this to say about Sweden:

Quote:
The responsibility before the law rests only on the responsible publisher of a newspaper and only on the author of a book, with secondary rules only for such cases as books with an anonymous or an unknown author. It is not possible to take legal action against i.e. reporters, sources, distributors or printers because of the content of a book or a newspaper. The Swedish Constitution in this and a number of other ways gives very strong protection for the free word and the free press. Since 1992, the same level of protection is given to electronic media in a parallel Constitutional Law, although there are exceptions that allow regulation of radio and TV as well as censorship of films shown at cinemas.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship_in_Sweden

Wikipedia also says:
Quote:
The media of Sweden has a long tradition going back to the 1776 law enacting freedom of the press.

Now granted, the Swedish government didn't try to prevent Tim Pool from publishing anything.
But the fact that they put him on a blacklist should give one pause.

That is pretty frickin' scary.

Nothing worse than seeing people afraid to speak. It's like the Eastern Bloc.

Scary, if true.

But the really scary things are happening in the UK, rule of the stupid.

"The best argument against democracy is a 5 minute chat with the average voter."

Plato's version of totalitarianism is always popular amongst self styled intellectuals unfortunately. Seems you've got that virus yourself, Nero. I hope you read that article I put up about Robespierre's Republic of Virtue! Really what's going on in Sweden is only different in degree - to perfect humanity, it must be terrorised into being virtuous.

The Swedish Santa was actually a goat before American cultural imperialism brought the bearded man in a red jump suit here.

I imagine the idea was to stop potentially disruptive elements from running the @sweden acount for a week (or however long they are responsible) as it would be bad PR if it was run by the Swedish SLAAKMAN...., buuut this was a crappy solution to that problem. The bad PR obviously happened anyway. Tim Pool came here to find out about 'the last night in Sweden' and didn't really find much to support Trump, but instead found the creepiest place he has ever been to. That's bad. A small nation like Sweden does rely a fair bit on its good name.... -

.....maybe if we can revert to our old ways and have a goat on Christmas instead the trend can be reversed...
