abrad - don't know who that guy is, but his take on (sd) is basically correct.

Some of their voters are fashist/neonazi/far right - but not all. (sd) is also a sort of protest movement attracting voters who feel betrayed by the other parties, who unlike (sd) are moslty in agreement in many questions that previously divided the political landscape. (sd) skillfully put the blame for all ills at the feet of immigration and "the other parties" - but really have managed to get support from people who feel ignored and don't believe they get much out of the taxes they pay...

Dr Turley is/was a professor of some kind, IIRC.

Seems to be laying out the populist surge in politics fairly well lately.

Didn't know about him until the 'Robinson fiasco', since then I've checked out several of his videos and they hit my sweet spot.

Here a tiny bio:

Dr. Turley is a teacher of Theology, Greek, and Rhetoric at Tall Oaks Classical School in New Castle, Delaware, and professor of Fine Arts at Eastern University.

The page contains a lot of his views.

As far as the SDs and bad elements, their like leaches, attach themselves to left and right parties, the difference is the media only talk of bad elements on the right.

I think it is easy to make the case that (sd) was founded by the bad elements but have "polished their act". In Sweden today there are several (online) news sites (of sorts) that do nothing but praise (sd) and bring out the horrors of immigration and the EU plus a little Putin glory so basically if you can get whatever news you want.

Radio interview with Klas Friberg, the new boss for SÄPO - the Swedish security police:

https://sverigesradio.se/sida/avsnitt/1089748?programid=3071

In it he claims there are three countires that have stepped up their activeties in Sweden. These are:

1) Russia - interested in everything but especially the NATO-question and efforts that are destabilizing for Sweden.

2) China - interested in commercial espionage and refugees of Chinese origin living in Sweden.

3) Iran - interested in refugees of Iranian origin living in Sweden.

There are about 2-3000 pro-violence extremists in Sweden that are thought capable of violent acts (terrorism).

The interview was made by and broadcasted by the goverment founded public service radio news program Ekot.

Swedish Bråvalla Music Festival Permanently Cancelled After Wave of Sex Attacks

21 Jun 2018

The organisers of Sweden’s largest music festival have announced that the event will come to a close after cancelling this year’s festival following a wave of sex attacks last year.

Organisers FKP Scorpio announced that there are no plans to put on another Bråvalla festival again this after speculation that the festival may occur in 2019 despite being cancelled this year, Norrköpings Tidningar reports.

Kajsa Apelqvist, who heads public relations for the organisation, said: “It’s a very disappointing decision to take, but the overall picture we have is that we can not develop the festival in the way we want to be relevant to our visitors in the future.”

When asked about the wave of sex attacks at the festival, which resulted in the festival being cancelled this year, Apelqvist said: “We have always claimed that it is not a festival problem but a social problem. How we ensure our visitors’ safety is something we are constantly developing, and that’s something we’ll never finish.”

“I believe we have contributed to people talking, standing up and reporting criminal offences committed. It’s good that people show that they do not take shit. That’s what we are proud of,” Apelqvist added

Last year, the festival saw at least 11 sex attacks, three of which led to arrests; the year before, nearly 40 young girls complained of being sexually harassed or abused by men often described as “foreign”.

One victim, 17-year-old Alexandra Larsson, described her attackers saying: “They were probably immigrants. I hate to say it. But it is the truth.”

As a result of the sex attacks at Bråvalla and other music festivals in Sweden, feminist Emma Knyckare announced last year that she would plan a festival in which men were not allowed to attend to prevent sexual abuse and harassment. So far no such festival has taken place.

Who needs music festivals anyway?

Nah, the hordes of dirty non-Swedes can still go to the Lolapalooza festival - which has established itself on the traditional Bråvalla weekend...

Good then.

Follow up question:
Have the organizers convinced the male attendees ("foreign/immigrant" or otherwise) to keep their hands to themselves?
