Mike Huckabee: After Kicking Sarah Out, The Restaurant Owner Led A Protest Against Her Companions At Another Restaurant

ALLAHPUNDITPosted at 3:31 pm on June 25, 2018

Via Mediaite, it’s strange that this detail hadn’t emerged until now despite 48 hours of coverage plus an interview with the restaurant’s owner in WaPo. The scenario Huckabee describes is strange too:

By the way Laura, there’s a part of that story that hasn’t been told, you’re going to be the first to hear it. Once Sarah and her family left, of course Sarah was asked to please vacate, Sarah and her husband just went home. They had sort of had enough. But the rest of her family went across the street to a different restaurant. The owner of the Red Hen – nobody’s told this – then followed them across the street, called people, and organized a protest yelling and screaming at them from outside the other restaurant and creating this scene.”

Disrupting a business that’s located right across the street from your own is asking for trouble. It’s an invitation to retaliation. And why would the Red Hen’s owner need that when she’d already made her point by declaring Sanders persona non grata on her own premises? According to the owner herself, everything was low-key inside the restaurant: “For all the angst that evening, Wilkinson said, everything had taken place with decorum. She had been polite; Sanders had been polite; the press secretary’s family had been polite as they followed her out the door.” That doesn’t sound like the makings of a chase-’em-across-the-street follow-on protest.

But Huckabee’s obviously in a position to have non-public knowledge of this incident. And why would he lie, knowing that the owner will surely correct the record if he is and the media will spend the next two days dunking on him for it?

It’s not as if some liberals won’t go the extra mile to convey their disgust to their political enemies:

Department of Homeland Security employees are seeing violent threats with greater frequency because of the president’s immigration policy, according to an official with knowledge of a recent threat assessment…

Around two dozen threat reports were issued in the past few days, primarily against Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, according to the same official. Each of these reports is generally related to a specific online threat. All employees are personally contacted by DHS security if they are the target of a violent threat, the official said.

In one example, a senior DHS official living in the Washington. D.C. area found a burnt and decapitated animal on his front porch, according to an official with knowledge of the incident.

That’s the most extreme example of incivility between political opponents I’ve seen lately, but of course not the most extreme example of the Trump era. The man who was at the center of that incident responded on Twitter today to Maxine Waters……and got an earful for it from some in the woke brigades, his near-death at the hands of a violent leftist notwithstanding:

Here’s where I’m tempted to say that the two parties are fractured irreparably and should consider some sort of peaceful national divorce, until I remember that no one except the most activist five percent of Americans — basically the people who watch cable news — cares about any of this stuff. Can we arrange a divorce somehow between only the red and blue parts of that five percent?

So it wasn't enough for the owner of the Red Hen restaurant to kick Sarah Sanders and her party out of place.....the owner then organized a protest outside the restaurant across the street that Sanders and her party moved to to dine.

Waters smiling like a supervillain when she steps into the "members only" elevator so the reporter cannot follow. Not at all surprising considering she is one of the most corrupt members of the US House according to Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

Meanwhile, other Red Hen rest'ts are complaining of harassment and boycotts. Well, guys, you're franchisees of a national chain that now has a stain on its reputation because of the actions of one franchise owner. I don't approve that people are sending mean mail to other restaurant owners, but boycotting a franchise is part and parcel of political economy in the modern world. It's OK. I won't shop at Hobby Lobby because of the founders/owners' politics. I won't shop at Mao Mart because of their policy of screwing American manufacturers and enabling the PRC. If conservatives avoid Red Hen rest'ts because of one franchise owner's actions, tough luck. Conservative consumers get to make that sort of choice too.

Those frachisee holders who are complaining should contact Red Hen HQ and ask if the offending RH franchise an be reviewed for having their franchise revoked. What they did reflects badly on the chain as a whole and they may have violated a corporate policy or one of the terms of their franchise agreement.

Increasing threats to Homeland Security include burned animal carcass left on staffer’s porch

(WASHINGTON) — Department of Homeland Security employees are seeing violent threats with greater frequency because of the president’s immigration policy, according to an official with knowledge of a recent threat assessment.

The department determined that there was a “heightened threat against DHS employees” in response to recent government actions surrounding immigration, according to a letter sent to employees over the weekend.

“This assessment is based on specific and credible threats that have been levied against certain DHS employees and a sharp increase in the overall number of general threats against DHS employees,” Claire Grady, acting deputy secretary of Homeland Security, wrote to employees on Saturday.

In early May, the Trump administration announced it would begin enforcing a zero-tolerance immigration policy — criminally charging everyone who illegally crossed the southwest border. This led to around 2,300 children being separated from their parents as they faced prosecution.

The family separations sparked outrage among advocates and lawmakers across the country, and on Wednesday Donald Trump signed an executive order that said he would keep families together during criminal proceedings.

The uptick in threats comes amid multiple protests directed at ICE and Customs and Border Protection officers, as well as the DHS secretary. It’s unclear exactly how much the threats have increased.

In Portland, Oregon, protesters calling themselves Occupy ICE PDX camped out in front of an ICE field office for days, The Oregonian reported.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said he supported the protesters, tweeting on Wednesday that he did not want the Portland Police Department “to be engaged or sucked into a conflict, particularly from a federal agency that I believe is on the wrong track.”

He added that the demonstration “seemed to be very peaceful.”

Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled while eating at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C., by group calling itself the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America.

“You’re eating a Mexican dinner as you’re deporting tens of thousands of people separated from their parents,” chanted the protesters.

And last Friday, demonstrators played ProPublica audio of crying children outside her Virginia home while chanting “shame!”

In addition to the protests, thousands of employees have had personal data leaked on social media, the letter to employees said. On Thursday, WikiLeaks published information on more than 9,000 supposed current and former ICE employees, saying it is important for “increasing accountability,” according to The Washington Post.

“People can disagree on policy,” ICE spokeswoman Liz Johnson said in a statement to ABC News, “but it is unconscionable to target our employees and advocate violence against federal law enforcement officers.”

Maxine may claim that she didn't specifically tell someone to leave a burnt animal carcass on a federal employee's doorstep, but.....if the shoe fits.....

I say "hurrah!" for all the leftalitarian morons throwing tantrums and verging into illegal actions. The more crazy they get, the more imminent their continued erosion of power and the demise of their political party. It is still not as shameful to be a leftalitarian as it is to be a Nazi or a Stalinist, but if these fruitcakes are allowed to carry on, it will be before too long. THAT is precisely what we want. Give them enough rope to hang themselves, and hope that no one actually gets hurt.

Very likely though, if someone is going to get hurt it is going to happen no matter what.

Maxine Waters is going to get some SJW killed. You know sooner or later one of them is going to follow ol' Maxine's advice and push too hard and is going to get shot for it. Then the media is going to turn it into a circus about how the White House or ICE or whomever is the shooter's group are all a bunch of Huns and need to be expunged from the earth, never minding that it was a Congresswoman who urged the snowflake to aggressively put themselves into that situation.

We have Senate interns yelling "Fuck You, Mr President" in the Rotunda, we have nutcases stalking the head of DHS, the Press Sec., who doesn't even make policy can't get some fried chicken, we have celebs calling for the kidnapping of the President's son and taking art shots with the Prezzie's severed head....AND..we had the attempted assassination of the House Republican softball team.

Maybe Maxine should just STFU.
