Well, I'm still not completely clear on what type of device malfunctioned, though a nuclear rocket/cruise missile motor seems likely.

If the U.S. has that sort of tech in prototype form at this stage, I'm not aware of it, though it is certainly something the U.S. government/military could whip up post haste if needed I reckon.

The thing about you NTTs and Trump is this: you continue to take him completely seriously and he continues to troll the fuck out of you. I don't believe at least 50% of what he says, because I recognized long ago that his style of language is clearly designed to IMPLY and suggest EVERYTHING which might drive NTTs Nutz, while simultaneously staying within the bounds of legality and sanity.

The fact that you, a rabid Anti-Trumper actually CARE at all what Trump says or does, and the fact you can vaguely recall things he has said or done speaks volumes!

You are a GULL

Trump: US has better weapons than the 'failed' Russian 'Skyfall' missile.

Better hope that Trump didn't reveal any secrets again.

Not specifically "Putin"-related but it is Russian:

Russian-born Florida man, 22, is arrested after he threatened to stab 'as many children as possible' at an elementary school because of their 'obnoxious pride in America'

Andrew Ivan Aman, 22, reportedly planned to ‘stab as many children as possible’ at the Bellamy Elementary School in Tampa, Florida, after objecting to the educational facility’s red, white, and blue color scheme.

Aman, with a kitchen knife hidden in a handbag, was also intending on stabbing any adults who got in the way of his sickening rampage, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

The 22-year-old, who has a history of several mental disorders, apparently decided to target the school because he despises the US and the school’s ‘obnoxious' national pride, citing ‘the large American flag mural on the building’s exterior’.

According to his Facebook page, Aman’s is originally from Abakanets, Russia. It’s unclear how long he’s been living in the United States.

Aman’s plan was only stopped by a chance encounter with his roommate while en-route to the school.

The accused reportedly confessed the plot to his roommate, who then, in turn, alerted authorities and kept Aman distracted until they could arrive.

The anonymous informant is also said to have convinced Aman not to carry out the heinous scheme, police said.

He was apprehended soon after the emergency call and taken into custody. No firearms were discovered in a later search of his home.

Aman, who once attended Blake Performing Arts School, has since been sectioned for mental health evaluation under the Baker Act.

A post on his Facebook page, dated August 2017, said: ‘Patriotism is not defined by the love you have for your "country". Tis the respect and natural humility you have for the earth and society around us whether that be in our neighborhood or statewide, so yes I can say I am a patriot of god.’

In a memo warning deputies about the alleged threat, authorities said, ‘Law enforcement should use extreme caution in dealing with [the subject.]’

Crystal Clark, chief communications officer for Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

‘An investigation is ongoing and charges could follow,’ Clark revealed. ‘However, there is currently no safety threat for students, parents or staff of Bellamy Elementary.’

The elementary school was named in honor of Francis Bellamy, who wrote the Pledge of Allegiance in 1882. Bellamy also lived in Tampa for seven years, , FOX13 reported.

rooskies say nutheeeg to wooorrrie about !!!
... A major Russian research centre studying lethal viruses including Ebola and HIV says there was no biological contamination from an explosion and fire in one of its buildings.

The fire was caused by the explosion of a gas canister during refurbishment work at the Vektor centre in Koltsovo, a town near Novosibirsk in Siberia.

One person who suffered burns is in intensive care, a statement said.

Vektor was reportedly a Cold War biological weapons research centre.

The facility was set up in 1974 as a closed institute researching vaccines and "defences against bacteriological and biological weapons", Russian Interfax news agency reports.

Monday's explosion, during refurbishment on the fifth floor of a six-storey laboratory building, blew out windows.

There was no major structural damage in the incident and "no work with biological materials was going on there", the Vektor statement said.

The fire spread over 30 sq m (323 sq ft) before being extinguished ...

Geez...it is getting to the point now that every few weeks there is another Russian military weapon (like submarines), arms depot, military research center, etc. blowing up or experiencing some sort of a major accident.

I recently read somewhere (might have been Strategypage website, not sure) that one reason for this is that the Russians never dispose of “old stuff” (especially munitions); they just hold onto old stock. Eventually those old munitions decay and become unstable. The article also said that when the Soviet Union collapsed, there were bases, munitions depots, etc that were literally abandoned and in some case forgotten about. Current Russia does not have the money/resources to properly maintain and/or dispose of those arms/munitions/facilities, and the reduced income because of depressed petroleum prices exacerbated that even further.

They also indicated that India experiences something similar when it comes to its munitions depots, which is not surprising since much of its military hardware & munitions were either purchased from the Soviet Union/Russia, purchased second hand from them or other former Soviet states in the years after the SU broke up, or were cheap Indian built knockoffs of Russian munitions. These munitions are also “past their prime” or were unstable to begin with.

That the latest “accident” in Russia occurred at a place where “lethal viruses including Ebola and HIV” were being stored/worked on is frightening. If I was a local resident I’d be shitting my pants and getting outta Dodge but the Russia government/media has probably either not told anyone or are downplaying/minimizing what happened.

In keeping with recent history, it sounds as if many of these Russian developments are mostly "fake news".

Not a big surprise.

Kremlin says disclosure of Trump-Putin phone calls would need Russian consent

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The Kremlin said on Monday that Washington would need Russian consent to publish transcripts of phone calls between U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Congress is determined to get access to Trump’s calls with Putin and other world leaders, the U.S. House Intelligence Committee’s chairman said on Sunday, citing concerns that the Republican president may have jeopardized national security.

Asked about those comments, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Russia would be prepared to discuss the issue with Washington if it sent Moscow a signal, but that such disclosures were not normal diplomatic practice.

“Of course their publication is to some extent only possible by mutual agreement of the parties. This is a certain diplomatic practice,” Peskov said.

“To be more specific, perhaps, diplomatic practice in general does not envisage their publication. If there are some signals from the Americans, then we will discuss (them).”

The Democratic-led House last week launched an impeachment inquiry into Trump in the aftermath of a whistleblower complaint alleging that Trump had solicited interference by Ukraine in the 2020 U.S. election for his own political benefit.

The White House released a memo summarizing Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy after the allegations set off a U.S. domestic political storm.
