Not that I'm saying it's not worth it.
Bit messy, and it might take a while.

After Dunblane I was happy to see them go. I love a good assault rifle.

That category of "rifles" is presumably ALL rifles (those falling into the "assault weapons" category as well as all other rifles).

Knives and blades accounted for roughly 3 times as many murder victims as rifles; hands/fists/ feet accounted for twice as many as rifles.

So are we going to ban those as well?

We should cut them off so that just one life saved from strangulation will have been worth it!

I'm not sure why people blame the NRA.

They didn't exist when the Constitution was written.

The underwear bomber nearly killed 200. Let's have some legislation to ban underwear. They could trot out Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton as spokespeople.

I admit liberals are smarter than me. I aint got sense enough to listen to a millionaire sitting in a broadcast studio surrounded by armed guards when he tells me I'd be safer paying higher taxes in a gun free zone.

But once again, I'm looking for Bronco Bama and his deciples to set the example. Disarm the secret service. Make the senate a gun free zone. Let Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein call 911 just like everybody else. All the rest of you enlightened intellectuals should be required to post gun free zone signs on your front lawns so your neighbors will sleep better at night.

A 1997 survey of 203,300 state and federal prisoners who had been armed during the commission of the crimes for which they were incarcerated.
Less than 2% of them were carrying a semiautomatic assault weapon or machine gun.

So how many shootings will an ASsault weapon ban prevent?
