The whole Blue Check thing is embarrassing. It's a subtle form of suppressing dissent.

AFP NEWS ran a story announcing that there were 100,000 migrant children in US custody under Trump’s watch.

AFP NEWS then realizes that the 100,000 figure is not current, rather the figure was for 2015 (under the Obama Administration). :lol:

So now rather than correct the story, they announce that they are DELETING the story (since it is not harmful to Trump but instead reflects poorly on Pres. Obama).

You can read about it (including the Tweet from AFP) here:

AP Publishes Story Noting That 100,000 Migrant Children are In Detention, Pinning This on Trump;
Then They "Retract" The Story When They Learn This Figure is from 2015, and Therefore Not "News" Because It's Not Helpful to Democrats
Brave firefighters who need to be spat on in public.

The story's still true -- they're just retracting it because it fails to advance the political interests they're in the business of advancing.

Wouldn't want any context about Obama's detention policies cluttering up the narrative, huh, AP?

Giuliani is not a journalist, Nunes is not a journalist. So what is up here?

I doubt that he is a Russian agent....he is still a journalist.
He previously worked for the Washington Post and has won numerous awards (the 2008 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and the Society of Professional Journalists' National Investigative Award together with CBS News' 60 Minutes for Evidence of Injustice;[5][49] in 2002, the Associated Press's Managing Editors Enterprise Reporting Award for What The FBI Knew Before September 11, 2001, and the Gramling Journalism Achievement Award for his coverage of the war on terrorism;[49] in 1992, the White House Correspondents' Association's Raymond Clapper Memorial Award for an investigative series on Ross Perot).

So Nero, are you ok with journalists having their private phone records released to the public, or is it acceptable to do so if they publish articles that you do not agree with?
