Hobos are running amuck in Chicago:

U.S. Attorney Speaks Zachary Fardon talks about Hobos gang trial

Even in a city where gangs and gun violence have plagued neighborhoods for decades, the Hobos were in a class of their own.

As they built a vast narcotics empire, the Hobos, a "super gang" made up of leaders from rival Chicago street gangs, ruled by fear, federal prosecutors alleged. They robbed drug dealers at gunpoint, kidnapped and tortured rivals, even targeted a former NBA player for a stickup after he was spotted at a nightclub wearing a pricey necklace.

But it was the shootings that truly terrorized communities. Using high-powered weapons, the Hobos opened fire on one victim outside a day care, another at a crowded block party, two more in front of a funeral home. The Hobos went after informants, too, killing one outside a barbershop and ambushing another as he drove up to his suburban home with his fiancee and two young kids.

On Wednesday, a federal jury convicted six reputed Hobos leaders of racketeering conspiracy charges alleging the gang carried out a total of eight murders over the course of a decade as well as a slew of kidnappings, robberies and shootings that left several people gravely wounded.

After a marathon 15-week trial that featured hundreds of witnesses and four days of closing arguments, the jury deliberated into a sixth day before finding all six defendants guilty of the main racketeering count carrying a sentence of up to life in prison.

Among those convicted was Gregory "Bowlegs" Chester, the gang's reputed leader who testified in his own defense last month. The jury also convicted alleged gang lieutenants Paris Poe, Arnold Council, Gabriel Bush, Derrick Vaughn and William Ford.

Four other members of the gang, including Chester's cousin, pleaded guilty before trial. An 11th Hobo died before charges were handed down, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

12-year-old boy demands chicken nugget at gunpoint, classmate refuses

POSTED 1:24 PM, JANUARY 12, 2017, BY ALIZA CHASAN, UPDATED AT 08:07PM, JANUARY 12, 2017

HARLEM, Manhattan — A 12-year-old boy allegedly pulled a gun on a classmate and demanded she give him a chicken nugget earlier this week, NYPD officials said.

It was his second attempt to get a chicken nugget from the girl, police said. The boy noticed the girl buy chicken McNuggets at a Lexington Avenue and East 103rd Street McDonald's on Tuesday. He asked her for a McNugget and she refused.

The boy allegedly followed the girl into the 103rd St. No. 6-train station, pointed a gun at her head and demanded a McNugget again, police said. The girl smacked the gun away from her head and told the boy to leave her alone.

She boarded the train unharmed, police said. The girl later saw the boy showing the gun to another child on the train.

Police took the boy into custody on Wednesday after the girl reported the incident to school officials.

WTF?

I'm sure this 12 yr old boy is on a glide path to the great American novel or a Nobel Prize.

So if a "bias-related assault" is a thing, is a "non-biased assault" also a thing? Wouldn't that be basically a psychopathic homicidal freakout? Or would it be just swinging wildly at air?

I pity the grotty corner where political correct speak has led modern discourse . . .

Ramsey officer finds 7 children, woman in labor in stolen vehicle
The father of the children was charged with felony auto theft and child neglect.
By Tim Harlow Star Tribune JANUARY 12, 2017 — 10:24PM

Charges were filed Thursday after a Ramsey officer pulled over a minivan carrying a woman in labor and seven children — some with packing tape over their mouths.

The officer also found two other adults inside the minivan, which was stolen in Missouri, and a gun under the seat.

Deszion Marquese Wraggs, 26, who was identified as the father of the children, was charged with felony auto theft and child neglect, a gross misdemeanor, according to a criminal complaint in Anoka County District Court.

On Thursday the investigation continued into what Ramsey Police Chief Jeff Katers described as a “bizarre” case. Besides the Ramsey Police Department, Anoka County Child Protection is also investigating.

It unfolded just after midnight when the officer spotted the minivan swerving and making illegal turns in the area of Xkimo Street and St. Francis Boulevard NW. A strong odor of burned marijuana was coming from the vehicle when the officer spoke with the female driver, who was going into labor. The woman, who is believed to be the mother of the seven children, was taken to a hospital, Katers said.

Wraggs was in the passenger seat while the children slept in the back. Some of the children had clear packing tape over their mouths, but told officers they were just playing with the tape, the complaint said. Five of the children are under age 5. The others are 6 and 9.

The children were examined by paramedics at the scene, deemed to be fine and released to other family members, Katers said.

Officers found a .40 caliber handgun under the second row of seats and near the feet of some of the children. Wraggs admitted that it was his gun and that he did not have a permit to carry a firearm.

Wraggs also told officers that he had rented the minivan about a month ago but believed that he didn’t have any money left on the credit card he used to rent the vehicle, the complaint said.

A third adult in the minivan was initially detained. It was not immediately clear if he would be charged.

Shall we nominate Deszion as "Father of the Year"?

CBS2 Exclusive: Teen Sets Man Sleeping On Subway Ablaze, Looks On Laughing

January 20, 2017 11:34 PM

[news video at above link]

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A Brooklyn man fell asleep on the subway, only to wake up engulfed in flames, and police say it was no accident.

“Over here, the skin is gone,” victim Piotr Olszewski told CBS2’s Brian Conybeare in an exclusive interview.

Olszewski has second-degree burns on his hands and arm after waking up on the subway in flames.

“Just everything on fire and smoke, so I was putting fire out with my bare hands,” he said.

Police said he was purposely set ablaze at 2:30 a.m. Friday on the G train as it pulled into the Court Square station in Long Island City, Queens. Olszewski was on his way home to Brooklyn from a friend’s house.

He said he stumbled off the train completely engulfed in flames and smoke. Two conductors saw him and tried to help, but the suspect, identified by police as 18-year-old Christopher Jackson, of Brooklyn, didn’t try to get away. He just stood there, bizarrely laughing.

“I was screaming from the pain.” Olszewski said. “He was enjoying it. He was still there next to me.”

Court records show the same teenager was charged with setting an arson fire in a trash can at Queens Vocational and Technical High School and two other sites back in October.

Olszewski said he hopes Jackson will get jail time and something is done to better protect subway riders.

“It’s not safe, people getting pushed onto the tracks. You know what I mean? Stabbed, robbed and now me catching on fire. Ridiculous,” he said.

He said it took all of his courage to get back on the train after getting out of the hospital burn unit.

WTF is wrong with some people?

Mark Dice has been doggedly documenting the death threats by the BLM crowd against Trump for over a year. Seems Doggie was correct about the "Black Privilege" thing . . .

Ah! But hold on! This guy finally got taken in! But NOT for threatening the President-Elect, but for guns!

I guess if one of the Trump kids sees a video in which they or their dad or mom are being threatened, THEN the Secret Service will actually investigate. But apparently reports from Mr. Dice didn't cut it, at least not back in May of last year . . hopefully that will change now that he is the President.

Woman busted for livestreaming rape of 4-year-old boy

An Ohio woman who reportedly livestreamed footage of her raping a 4-year-old boy has been arrested.

India Kirksey, 20, has been charged with felony rape, news station WCPO reported. She was arraigned Monday in court, and is being held on a $350,000 bond.

Harrisburg County authorities in Ohio received a tip from someone who saw the footage online. Earlier this year, the video allegedly had been shared on the livestreaming app Periscope.

In an interview with police, Kirksey confessed to performing oral sex on the toddler, according to Cincinnati.com.

Daytona veteran beaten up for trying to save turtle's life, police say
Victim attempted to stop men from beating turtle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Three young men were arrested Tuesday after police said they beat up a Navy veteran who asked them to stop torturing a turtle, according to Daytona Beach police.

A woman was walking her toddler around a pond at Wedgewood Apartments and told police she saw three men torturing a turtle. She went home and told her husband, Gary Blough, they were “smashing up a turtle.”

Blough went outside and said he saw a group of three men repeatedly abusing the animal, according to the police report.

"The one had it over his head and he was smashing it down on the sidewalk," Blough said. "I asked them to please leave it alone, just let it go to the lake."

One of the men, later identified at Johnnie Beveritt, 18, picked up the turtle and threw it down on the sidewalk; the two other men, Ryan Ponder, 23 and a 16-year-old boy, kicked the turtle toward the apartment building away from the pond, the witness told police.

Blough told police that the turtle was trying to crawl away but was seriously injured and unable to walk.

He told his wife to call the police after the suspects did not stop attacking the animal, according to the report. After that, two of the suspects struck Blough with their hands, fists and feet.

"They started hitting the back of my head and started punching me. I was able to fend off a little bit but I mean three of them, got the better of me," he said.

Blough told them he did not want to fight, one of the attackers said “I don’t give a f—and I don’t care if I go to jail,” according to the arrest report.

The suspects continued to beat Blough until neighbors came out and the suspects ran away.

A Daytona Beach police officer captured all three suspects and the victim’s wife positively identified them as the attackers, according to the report.

Blough told police he is a disabled veteran who was seriously injured in the Persian Gulf War. First responders said the victim suffered injuries during the attack including broken skull and facial bones, internal bleeding and a concussion. Police did not know how the injuries would affect him long term.

Blough said he hopes the men are punished for what they did and would intervene again, without a doubt.

"Yeah, I'd do it again and take the beating again if it meant saving that turtle," he said.

Police found the turtle, dead, floating in the pond in a puddle of blood.

“The animal likely suffered greatly during the time it was being battered by the three defendants,” the officer wrote in the arrest report.

All three men are charged with aggravated battery and animal cruelty. News 6 is not identifying the 16-year-old.
