Security Guard Abused Corpse At Memphis Hospital

Cops: Man, 23, confessed to heinous act on female decedent

AUGUST 24--A security guard at a Tennessee hospital was found having sex with a female corpse in a body storage room, according to cops who arrested the man for the heinous act.

Cameron Wright, 23, was arraigned this morning on a felony abuse of corpse charge in connection with the shocking incident Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Wright, seen at right, is locked up in the Shelby County jail in lieu of $3000 bond.

According to police and court records, Wright provided investigators with a typed statement confessing to “having vaginal intercourse with the deceased female in the body storage room.”

Two witnesses--a security guard and a representative with a transplant organization--told police that they discovered Wright having sex with the corpse of a 37-year-old woman who had died earlier that day of a heart attack.

Following the death of the woman, a kindergarten teacher, hospital workers placed her corpse in a body storage room since she had agreed be an organ donor. Police allege that Wright entered that room and abused the decedent’s corpse.

Wright was immediately fired and the hospital issued a statement declaring that, “Treating those we serve with dignity and respect is our top priority. The behavior of this individual does not represent what our hospital stands for, and these actions are completely unacceptable.” (1 page)

Not sure that a crime resulted from this incident (assault could probably be the case) but this was as good a place as any to post this:

Brawl breaks out between employees at Memphis Waffle House

By: Courtney Mickens

Updated: Aug 29, 2018 - 11:38 AM

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A fight video from a Memphis Waffle House has gone viral. Memphis Police told FOX13 the fight happened Sunday morning around 7 a.m.

Officers responded to the simple assault in the 4300 block of American Way.

Video from the fight was posted on Facebook by Eric Cole. It has more than 100,000 views and has been shared more than 2,000 times.

When police arrived on the scene the manager said two employees were fighting in the store before police arrived on the scene.

The manager told police two employees got into an argument over washing dishes. The alleged victim was not on the clock, but another employee was telling her to do dishes.

They started arguing and eventually, things turned physical when the alleged suspect pushed the victim in the back of the head, according to police.

The employees began fighting and were eventually separated.

The alleged suspect said she got into an argument with another employee. She claimed the other woman hit her first.

Police have not said if charges have been filed.

We reached out to Waffle House for a statement, they said, "The manager handled the situation immediately."

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office: *ring ring* "Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, what is your emergency?"
Caller: "My name is Allison Dunkenberger and I'd like to report a robbery"
MCSO: "What sort of robbery?"
Allison: "They stole my grapes"
MCSO: "Could you elaborate on that please?"
Allison: "I'm the owner of Firefly Hill Vineyards. Someone stole our grapes"
MCSO: "Where were these grapes?"
Allison: "Last we saw them they were still on the vines"
MCSO: "When you say 'they stole your grapes', just how many grapes do you mean?"
Allison: "They stole almost our entire crop, about 2 1/2 tons of grapes; that were planted on 3½ acres".
MCSO:  "Um....ok, we'll send someone out. We'll probably send one of our CSI's, that is Crime Scene Investigators as well"
Allison: "What, are they gonna dust for prints or something?"

Now if you think what happened above sounds preposterous, I would agree, but it's true:

Owners of Virginia winery stunned after overnight thief snags almost entire grape harvest

PEORIA — After searching for 10 days without success, a 72-year-old Peoria woman on Tuesday reported her missing false teeth stolen.

The woman told officers she last saw her dentures in her bathroom on Sept. 15 when she left her apartment in the 2400 block of North Gale Avenue to go to the store.

There were no signs of forced entry. Family helped the woman search for the missing teeth, but they were never found.

Couldn't find a place for this, so here goes:

For the past several months, I have noticed my hummingbird feeders were empty in the morning. I attributed this is leas but could not find th leak and switching feeders around did not help. The feeder in the front of the house seemed to be the one that leaked but switching did not help.

Then I discovered the cause. ...
