It's a great song. Rondstadt cover

I know, it is Saturday.

But I think I can risk the -rep.

Back then when the Soviet Union was dead and buried.

And now.

Pol litra vs. gitler.

I don't mind more patriotic music, but synchronized goose march and too much pomp makes me worry.

The previous exercise with too much of that did not result anything good. :(

Mir.

It is Sunday, but I can not help.

Tribute to Doggie, our hero, our admistrator. The man with deep wisdom.

For Doggie and all the doggies on board. ;)

This is also essential.

So it goes.

"My Babe", Little Walker, literally right on the cusp of blues morphing into rock and roll. Fantastic mouth harp by Walker. Muddy Waters on Guee-tar. Nemo was sucking on his mama's teats when this came out.

Elvis..up tempo...plus points for the pay-ano...but the theatrics shit..and the background vocals are a bit cheesy...Elvis carries it over into rock with the tempo and presentation but I think Little Walkers' is better. Both are good in their own way.

I found another Delta Blues to Chicago Blues to Rock and Roll transition. It's not Friday but it is very interesting.

"Baby Please Don't Go" which is about slavery in it's early versions but by 1935 it is about a prisoner being sent to the "county farm" . Big Joe Williams, 1935 acoustic guitar, ONE STRING fiddle and washboard.

Muddy Waters obviously heard this in the Delta but moved up to Chi-town and added electric guitar, drums, base and fantastic harmonica (Little Joe Walker) and records this a generation later. Absolutely fantastic.

9 years later, the Muddy Waters records arrive in Belfast and Van Morrison at age 19 records this fantastic rock and roll version and it's the freaking white you can't understand. Fantastic blues-inspired lead guitar line and now with a dominant bass and Hammond rhythm section. It just keeps getting better.
