Rain here Saturday and Sunday for sure. Anyone up for it? And how about Anthro and Nelms?

Also at about 12:30 pm Eastern today(saturday).

Also, while we were in the main lobby waiting to start a now delayed game, Wales from the SOWMP website suggested we post our game and info at the SOW website.

I posted our information at:

They did---Magruder's corp was left with zip---no one...and the other Reb corp had about 18% of its original manpower....but we got beaten down pretty hard as well. I think 2nd said the Rebs had at least 20,000 more than we did to start.

I had one arty batty that I lost track of almost the entire battle--they were to the south of the big hill that Kearney was on most of the battle--near some houses---I have no idea what they did but they killed over 1100 rebs---not sure how. That total is incredible for an arty battery.

It was tough for me to keep track as Kearney pretty much stayed on or near that hill that we fought at towards the end--and Hooker was all the way over where you first engaged--_I could not control both divisions at the same time and had to ride back and forth to see what was going on and adjust.

At the end my arty was pretty much intact (captured 7 reb pieces of which I still had 3 at the end).
Hookers div was down to 4 inf reg (plus its arty and captured Reb arty)
Kearney's div was down to 3 inf reg (plus its arty).

Its a challenge the way we were massively separated at the start.

I had a tough day: Smith's division from Cooke's Corp had 224 left at game end; Cooke's core had 2200 total left of roughly 15,000 going in. Only good think was artillery batteries had a field day. Got some good screen shots, will share them tomorrow.

"TheSuperb" was not so superb Saturday. A tough outing, the Rebs came on in masses. Our 3 Corps started the MP split up and spread out. We attempted to get concentrated. My march took me to a series of ridges, the highest of which became a race between me and AP Hill. I missed gaining the top by a few minutes. At that point, made a decision that would cost me the remainder of the day. I decided it was a smart idea to try and push Hill off a hill. Pics in order:

> Just missed beating Rebs to the hill and spent the next hour trying to push them off. This is one of many attempts by Couch's division to carry the top. Note the line extends to the deep background where the Rebs initiated a flanking movement on my right.

> Smith's division was thrown in later and continued the assault in the middle. At this point, my Yanks are about to retreat down the slope with the Rebs counterattacking to follow.

> The counterattack begins now. You can see the several lines deep of Rebs at the crest.

The Rebs counterattack push down the slope and sent most of my guys retreating across a small valley. Fortunately, my 6 batteries were placed on a small ridge and did the job of holding the Rebs off as the infantry got settled and fought back.

I was finally able to reform and take advantage of the diversion provided by 2ndacr's division that advanced towards the Reb rear. Finally took the ridge top, but both my divisions were beat up and fatigued. After reorganizing, replenishing ammo and just plain resting for 15 minutes, marched north. Chi and 2ndacr were on excellent ground fighting off the major Reb offensive. I positioned both divisions to extend the Yank left flank just in time to get whacked by a fresh Reb division. Chi had to push up reserves as my guys were eventually, as Chi said, "decimated". I spent the remainder of the battle placing my 6 batteries in Chi's lines to support his efforts against the continuous Reb attacks. I ended up with 4 infantry regiments still active at battle's end. Pics in order:

> Reb counterattack now in motion. This picture represents the story of my day: seemed to be fighting up hill all day.

> Looking from the Reb lines on the hill, the counterattack has reached a few regiments holding on. My guns on the small ridge, about half of which can be seen in the right background, played a big part in stalling the attack until 2ndacr showed up.

> After marching north and deploying on the left of the Yank line, what I thought would be my hammer to the Reb right flank turned into a hammer on my depleted corp. This is one of Couch's regiments fighting it out with "a lot of Rebs that just kept coming" as another regiment attempts to rally just behind.

Great job by 2ndacr with the new OOB's. I'll need to be smarter next time and respect bunches of Rebs on hills.
