I don't understand how modern so-called "Progressives" can publicly state that they strive for equality, et al, but turn around and denigrate people for the color of their skin, harmless beliefs, or any other divisive factor they feel the need to attack.

The Overton window has shifted so far left, in the Western world, that moderate liberals and libertarians are now considered conservative to varying degrees. Which only points to increasing extremism in the left's political establishment as the cause.

When what they do & what they say are regularly two different things, plus they begin using government apparatus to persecute free speech, it's evident they've become dangerously authoritarian.

Meanwhile, at the Beeb..

What really cracks me up is that I see surveys about voting patterns and stuff and it talks about 'authoritatian' vs 'liberal' voters, and these haters are described as 'liberal' whereas people like me would be deemed 'authoritarian'. A totally upside down world. Reminds me of the abuse of language in totalitarian states.

Reporting someone to the police who commits a terrorist act or who you suspect are planning a terrorist act is one thing.

Reporting someone to the police who said or wrote something mean on Facebook is something else entirely.
