Not the same thing, amigo.

Methamphetamine is a STIMULANT with no chemical homology with ethanol, which is a CNS depressant. The "meth" simply refers to a methyl group.

We are talking about denatured alcohol here (something added to ethanol to make it toxic or odious).

Honestly, the chemically illiterate are so tiresome. :P
