After all the grizzling from Remainiacs, spurious legal cases from wreckers, the bleatings of Tiny Tim Farron, pious bullshit from the saboteurs of democracy...

Ah true that. I was using the term more in the sense of "every nation for herself, and screw the rest of you lot!" More along the lines of this early "mercantilist" statement.

Quote:
An early statement on national balance of trade appeared in Discourse of the Common Weal of this Realm of England, 1549: "We must always take heed that we buy no more from strangers than we sell them, for so should we impoverish ourselves and enrich them."[6]

Not saying I disagree! Just noting how times change.

Maybe now that the Nazi boogeyman is only a memory and even the Russian boogeyman has diminished, the whole point of the EU is now pointless? Might well be the case . . . Just don't go starting any wars among yourselves! :P

I'm sharing it around ... we don't have any creatures in our "gubermint" fit to lick that gentleman's boot ...

Do you think that the Parliament should vote, after the negotiation results are clear, for leaving or staying?

That is the (constitutional) question.

*laughs*
