Britain’s government said on Thursday it would use legislation to fix the time and date of the country’s European Union exit, addressing concerns of Brexiteers who fear slow negotiations and opposition to the divorce could cause delays.

The government said it was proposing a change to the EU (Withdrawal) Bill currently making its way through parliament to set the exit for 2300 GMT on March 29, 2019.

I would've left first and negotiated later ...

This guy has brass balls. Ireland is an independent state. It's not the job of the British state to look after them. After all the whining from the Irish on independence this is some serious piss taking.

Grow a pair and leave, or stay, whatever you prefer. Welcome to the responsibility of independence.

The House of Commons just voted to repeal the European Communities Act 1972, like a few minutes ago, on Brexit Day. As when we leave all the British laws passed that enmired us would still be on the books. This particular one is important as it's the law that makes European Union law supreme over British law.

:D

I am just waiting for a law to repeal Newton's law of gravitation.

That is the current level of Britain. :(
