I would imagine that the response of a person who was "pro-E.U." to that particular speech would be something like: "Unsinn!!" or "Zuiver afval!" or "Poppycock!" or "Est-tu fumez la moquette!?" (I just love that phrase! ).chijohnaok wrote:https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/20 ... ource.html

The best speech on Brexit — from a shocking source
By Thomas Lifson
Keep in mind that, according to most of our media (and even more so the European media), we are supposed to regard with fear the German "ultra-right-wing" political party, the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD). Also, keep in mind that we are supposed to believe that the Brexit battle pits Brits against a united Europe that is horrified at their effort to shatter the European Union.
But, in fact, the arrogant, unaccountable transnational organizations, of which the E.U. is a leading example, have served global elites better than ordinary citizens of their constituent countries.
Watch this speech in Germany's parliament, the Bundestag, by AfD's co-leader Alice Weidel, and start to realize that populism is a global force in the highly industrialized world and that the complaints we Americans feel against our elites, and the complaints Brits have against ceding control to the E.U., are all of a piece. She does not hesitate to point her finger at France, which is leading the resistance to a negotiated Brexit.
The video below was subtitled by "Cassius," who maintains a YouTube channel.
Obviously "populists" (be they "White Nationalists" or "Olive Drab [Italian] Nationalists" or whatever) across the Euro-diaspora are going to be fapping with glee to see a stern attractive articulate Ph.D. lady lashin' it to the totalitarian bureacrats.
Me, I stand somewhere in the middle and my response is: well she does seem to make a lot of good points, no? This is the thing I find amazing. Things get said; in fact they get said ad nauseum, by one side, and then exactly contradicted by the other. This shit has been dragging on for so long now, I have the feeling someone of the Professor Hanson ilk needs to sit down and write a book. There is probably plenty of time to write Volume I of the Epic Saga before Brexit actually happens, and then that could be like the Hobbit. A whole Trilogy and an Encyclopedi "Silmarillion" style document could also be spun off!
. . . Anyway . . . the point I always come back to on all this . . . It wasn't so many generations ago when Prussians disguised as "Nazis" were coming to eat EVERYONE's lunch and throw them in the cooler if they protested, so this stuff is a definite step up from that . . .
