London guide for ignorant europeans and colonial US bumpkins

Some general tips and observations:

-In order to insure an adequate level of public drunkenness, beer is sold wholesale. It is impossible to buy a single can of beer in a supermarket, you have to buy at least a pack of 4-6.

-For national security reasons every meal comes with a side order of crisp (that would be potato chips to the rest of us). Thus when the next dictator takes over on the european continent every briton, man, woman, and child, will be able to bear the brunt of the ensuing blockade thanks to their added lard. A proper high BMI and cholestorol level is vital for national survival!

-The subwa... ooppss sorry "Underground" net is something to behold. The conditions of the stations and rolling sock runs the gamut from "spic and span, newly renovated for the Jubilee and Olympics" to "charmingly worn in an edwardian/victorian sense" to "run down piece of shit".

Stand by for more.

London is a shithole, and not England.

Maybe Mac will argue otherwise. 8-)

No visit to the british capital is complete without a picture of Mullah Omar, complete with customary wreath.

A picture of the Tower. Curiously enough, most of the guns seem to point inward towards the city of London. For all that guff about the british democratic tradition and the Magna Charta, the british monarchs seem to have trusted their population very little.

The pride of british cuisine. Skimping on the calories means that the terrorist wins!

I hope you got salt and vinegar on those chips, or that is a fake experience you are having...

Plenty of salt and vinegar. The place had no alcohol license though, so the bitter had to wait for after.
